The Sangguniang Bayan of Molave successfully conducted its 45th Regular Session on May 20, 2026, at the SB Session Hall, presided over by Hon. Monalisa J. Glepa. During the session, several proposed ordinances were introduced and referred to the appropriate committees, including measures on public drinking, curfew for minors, public decency, videoke and sound system regulation, and amendments to land reclassification and rezoning guidelines. Various communications from the Municipal Mayor, provincial offices, barangays, and government agencies were likewise received and acted upon for further review and consideration.
The Honorable Body approved several committee reports and resolutions, including the validation of Barangay Parasanโs curfew and anti-illegal fishing ordinances, support for the issuance of a tree-cutting permit for hazardous trees within LGU premises, authorization of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Rural Bank of Rizal for the salary loan facility program of LGU employees, authority for the limited release of administrative records to the Philippine Statistics Authority for CBMS validation activities, and the validation of revenue ordinances of Barangays Parasan and Blancia. The Council also accredited the Peopleโs Unified Movement for Good GovernanceโSearch and Rescue Forces (PUMGG-SARF), Molave Chapter, as a development partner of the municipality and approved a resolution seeking appropriate intervention and assistance for vulnerable individuals and persons with mental health conditions roaming within the poblacion area.
During the privilege hour, members discussed concerns regarding the implementation of existing IBJT regulations, requests related to the upcoming Araw ng Barangay Maloloy-on celebration, the proposed ECCD center site, and upcoming training opportunities for local legislators. The session also accommodated representatives of the Perpetual Help Community Cooperative, who presented their programs and services before the Council.
On third and final reading, the Sangguniang Bayan approved three significant ordinances: the institutionalization of the Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System in the Municipality of Molave, the adoption of a standardized mechanism for motorized tricycle fare adjustments, and the temporary reduction of terminal fees and charges for public utility vehicles operating at the Municipal Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal (IBJT). These measures reflect the continuing commitment of the Sangguniang Bayan to responsive governance, improved public service delivery, and sustainable local development for the people of Molave.
