The 45th National Congress: A Gathering of Leadership and Vision
By Eagles Tony Cama

On November 23-24, 2024, the Philippine Eagles, Inc. will host the 45th National Congress, which coincides with the 4th Regular Session of the 44th National Assembly. This significant event is poised to bring together leaders from various regions, all dedicated to advancing the organization's mission and community initiatives.

In preparation for this congress, a planning meeting took place at 2:00 PM, October 22, 2024, setting the stage for collaborative discussions and strategic goal-setting. Attendees included some of the most influential figures within the organization, ensuring that diverse perspectives were represented.

Among the key participants was Kuya Cesar Yamuta, the National Secretary General of Philippine Eagles, Inc., known for his commitment to fostering camaraderie and leadership within the organization. His insights are anticipated to guide the direction of discussions and decisions made during the congress. Alongside him was Kuya Gov. Lord Nebres, the Governor of the Offroaders Region, who brings a wealth of experience in regional governance and community engagement. His presence underscores the importance of regional representation and the interplay between local and national leadership.

Also in attendance was Eagles Tony Cama, serving as the Offroaders Region Information Secretary. His role is critical, as communication strategies will likely be a focus of the congress, enabling members to remain informed and involved in the organization's initiatives.
The venue for the planning meeting—and indeed, the congress itself—was Qizia Cafe located within the SDS Medical Center Inc. at the corner of Katipunan Extension and Pio del Pilar St in Marikina, Metro Manila. This setting provides a conducive atmosphere for collaboration and dialogue, allowing participants to discuss the congress agenda thoroughly, share ideas, and develop actionable plans for the future.

As the 45th National Congress approaches, anticipation builds for the discussions that will shape the trajectory of the Philippine Eagles, Inc. and its various programs. Leaders from across the nation will converge to share insights, forge new alliances, and reaffirm their commitment to the organization's values. This gathering promises not just to be a meeting of minds but a celebration of unity and shared purpose, striving to make a meaningful impact in their respective communities and beyond.

UNAP Global, Led by Ric Cruz, Champions World Mental Health Day: A Call to Action
By Tony Cama

On October 10, 2024, under the compassionate leadership of Global UNAP President Ric Cruz, the Global United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP Global) joins the world in celebrating World Mental Health Day. This significant occasion calls upon humanity to rise in solidarity, honoring the theme "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right."

This year’s theme resonates deeply, reminding us that the right to mental well-being is not a privilege reserved for the fortunate—it is a universal entitlement for every soul across the globe. Mental health, like the air we breathe, knows no boundaries. It is a necessity that touches the lives of every person, from the crowded streets of the world’s largest cities to the remote, quiet corners of the earth.

Led by President Ric Cruz, UNAP Global stands at the forefront of this movement, not just to reflect, but to inspire and ignite real change. In a world often fractured by division and uncertainty, mental health issues cross every border, uniting us in shared struggles. These challenges transcend nationality, race, and culture, reminding us of the common thread that binds all of humanity.

This year's celebration compels us to take action for the millions who still suffer in silence, those who face immense barriers to accessing care. The theme challenges us to lift the veil of stigma and shame, to create a global culture where mental health care is as accessible, respected, and protected as any other basic human right.

President Ric Cruz, a steadfast advocate for mental health, urges us to recognize that mental health is not a luxury, but an essential component of well-being. He reminds us that behind every statistic is a human story—a life deserving of care, understanding, and healing.

This day is more than a celebration—it is a clarion call, a moment to remember that mental health is central to our very existence. It is the foundation upon which we build lives filled with love, resilience, and purpose. By advocating for universal access to mental health services, we are defending the core of what it means to be human.

UNAP Global, under the visionary leadership of Ric Cruz, stands committed to ensuring that mental health care becomes a reality for all. Together with international partners, healthcare professionals, and community leaders, we strive to create a world where every individual, regardless of their background, can access compassionate and dignified mental health services.

Let this day serve as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility. Let it inspire us to break down the barriers that keep so many in the shadows. Today, we renew our commitment to protect and uplift the mental well-being of all people, for Mental Health is a Universal Human Right—a right that must be fought for, cherished, and upheld.

On this day, led by the heart and vision of Ric Cruz, we rise together in unity and hope. We honor the voices of those who have been silenced and forgotten. We stand for those who continue to battle in silence. And we pledge to create a future where mental health is a priority for all.

Together, we embrace this journey of healing, for when we stand for mental health, we stand for humanity.

A Tribute to Peace: Honoring the Path Toward Global Harmony
By Tony Cama

On a day filled with meaning and reflection, I extend my deepest gratitude to Ric and Alice for the Certificate of Recognition bestowed upon me during the UNAP Global Opening of the 2nd Peace Center and the celebration of the National Day of Peace last October 30, 2024 at Ghost Coffee, Barangay Vermont, Antipolo City.

Standing in that serene space, surrounded by individuals dedicated to the pursuit of peace and harmony, I felt the profound weight of the moment. The certificate is more than just a token of recognition; it symbolizes the collective hope we nurture for a better world, a world where peace is not just an aspiration but a lived reality. The opening of this second Peace Center serves as a tribute to the unrelenting spirit of those who believe in the power of dialogue, unity, and understanding in the face of conflict.

As I received this honor, my heart swelled with a deepened sense of responsibility. It reaffirmed my unwavering commitment to our shared mission. Today, more than ever, I pledge my enduring support to the work of the United Nations Association of the Philippines. Together, we stand to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for these are not mere guidelines but the blueprint for a future where no one is left behind.

The path to peace is intricate and filled with challenges, but in our unity lies strength. I offer my humble efforts, my hands ready to assist, my voice eager to advocate, and my heart resolute in promoting these global goals. Together, we will work towards building resilient communities, fostering education, protecting the environment, and ensuring that every person, regardless of their circumstances, is given the dignity they deserve.

Let this moment be a reminder that peace is not just the absence of conflict—it is the presence of justice, equity, and opportunity for all. As we move forward, may we continue to be lights of hope, illuminating the path toward a world where compassion reigns and peace endures.

Thank you once again, Ric and Alice, for this recognition. I will carry it with me as a reminder of our shared vision for a harmonious, just, and peaceful world.
