💙 A CELEBRATION OF RIGHTS, HOPE, AND INCLUSION 💙

𝟒𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 – 𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Moncada, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ramon Benito M. Aquino, through the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), in partnership with the Exemplary Moncadaneans Alliance of Differently Abled Persons, Inc. (EMADAPI), successfully held the Municipal Celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week and the Handog Pag-Asa Program on July 28, 2026, at the Luis Morales Plaza, Poblacion 1, Moncada, Tarlac.

Anchored on this year's theme, “𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭, 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭,” the celebration highlighted the importance of upholding the rights of persons with disabilities and strengthening collective efforts toward a more accessible, inclusive, and empowered community.

A significant part of the celebration was the Handog Pag-Asa Program, through which 37 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), representing each barangay of the Municipality of Moncada, received assistance as a meaningful expression of the Local Government's continuing commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the PWD community.

Under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ramon Benito M. Aquino, the LGU of Moncada continues to recognize the vital role of persons with disabilities in community development and remains committed to supporting programs and initiatives that promote their rights, dignity, participation, accessibility, and equal opportunities.

The successful celebration is a testament to the strong partnership and shared commitment of the LGU of Moncada, PDAO, EMADAPI, Barangay officials and Leaders, and the PWD community. Through collaboration and sustained advocacy, we continue to work toward a municipality where every person with disability is valued, empowered, and given the opportunity to participate meaningfully in society.

May the Handog Pag-Asa Program serve as a reminder that every act of support can bring hope, every opportunity can create change, and every step toward inclusion can help MAKE THE RIGHTS REAL for all.

The Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) of Moncada, together with the Exemplary Moncadaneans Alliance of Differently Abled Persons, Inc. (EMADAPI), proudly participated in the successful Provincial Celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week (NDRW) held on July 23, 2026, at the Bulwagang Kanlahi, Diwa ng Tarlac, San Vicente, Tarlac City, Tarlac.

With this year's theme, “Rights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development,” we stand united in promoting the rights, dignity, empowerment, and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in our communities.

This celebration serves as a reminder that inclusion is not merely a goal—it is a shared responsibility. Together, let us continue to advocate for stronger policies, accessible services, equal opportunities, and a society where persons with disabilities are empowered to participate fully and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
