Today, May 28, 2026, the SPES students of Monkayo successfully continued the ninth day of their 20-day Work Proper under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) in their respective assigned offices within the Municipality of Monkayo. Through their commitment, perseverance, teamwork, and dedication, they continue to enhance their skills, gain valuable workplace experience, and strengthen their sense of responsibility and professionalism.

The Special Program for Employment of Students actively participated in the Tree Planting Activity conducted by the Local Government Unit of Monkayo at the Municipal Arboretum, Maite, Poblacion, held today, May 28, 2026 in celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity.

The activity was joined by local officials, government employees, and various agencies, aiming to strengthen environmental protection efforts, preserve biodiversity, and promote the importance of caring for our natural resources for future generations.

The Special Program for Employment of Students Organization successfully conducted a Special Meeting on May 23, 2026 via Google Meet together with the officers being present for the review, deliberation, amendment, restructuring, and ratification of the SPES Constitution and By-Laws pursuant to Article VIII, Section 1 of its current Constitutional and By-laws.

The meeting also served as a venue for the discussion of other important organizational matters including the preparation for the Functionality Assessment Evaluation and the Culmination Activity Plan.

Through active participation, collaboration, and collective deliberation, the organization continues to strengthen its commitment towards effective leadership, organizational development, accountability, and service for the welfare of its members and the organization.

On May 14, 2026, SPES Monkayo President, Ricardo P. Valiente Jr., actively participated in the Municipal Youth Development Council (MYDC) 2nd Quarter Meeting. The meeting was presided over by Hon. Don Mark Martinez, LPT, together with Joseph Anthony Crizaldo, RN, MMBA, and attended by the members of the MYDC.

The meeting focused on discussing future plans, programs, and initiatives aimed at strengthening youth development and empowerment within the Municipality of Monkayo. It also served as an avenue for collaboration among youth leaders and organizations in promoting active participation and meaningful involvement of the youth in community development.

Through this participation, SPES Monkayo continues to support initiatives that empower young individuals and contribute to building a stronger and more progressive youth community.

Today, the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) actively participated in a clean-up drive together with SPES officers, members, volunteers, and community leaders.

This activity was conducted under Memorandum Order No. 2026-072 dated May 21, 2026, as part of the celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity.

The clean-up drive served as a reminder that protecting and preserving our environment is a shared responsibility. Through unity, discipline, and active participation, we can contribute to building a cleaner, greener, and healthier community for everyone.
