RESUMPTION OF ON-SITE CLASSES

Following the advisory issued by the Municipal Government of Monkayo, on-site classes will resume tomorrow, August 24, 2026 (Monday).

Accordingly, the Midterm Examination will proceed as scheduled.

Students are advised to prepare accordingly and coordinate with their respective instructors for any further instructions.

MONCAST CELEBRATES 18 YEARS OF PURPOSE, SERVICE, AND POSSIBILITIES

A celebration of culture, achievement, and elegance marked the 18th Founding Anniversary of Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (MonCAST) on August 19, 2026, anchored on the theme, “18 Years of Purpose. A Legacy of Service. A Future of Possibilities.”

The celebration was highlighted by inspiring messages from Hon. Manuel JayR N. Zamora, Jr., Municipal Mayor and BOT Chairperson, and Hon. Manuel B. Brillantes, Jr., Vice Mayor, who played a significant role in the establishment of MonCAST through the municipal ordinance creating the institution.

Meanwhile, Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera, College President, presented the College’s accomplishments throughout its 18-year journey, highlighting its growth, milestones, and continuing commitment to serving the community.

The celebration also featured the awarding of Faculty Research Publications and Outstanding Faculty Members, as well as the induction of the newly elected Faculty Club officers.

Adding elegance to the festivities were the 18th Cotillion Dance and the Cake and Wine Parade, showcasing the talent and grace of the MonCAST community.

The celebration culminated in the traditional cake slicing and wine toasting, symbolizing 18 years of purpose and service while looking ahead to a future filled with greater possibilities for MonCAST and the community it serves.

MONCAST MARKS 18TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY WITH GROUNDBREAKING OF 20-CLASSROOM BUILDING

A new chapter in the continuing growth of MonCAST began as the College held the groundbreaking ceremony and blessing of the proposed one-storey, 20-classroom building on August 19, 2026, as part of its 18th Founding Anniversary celebration.

The ceremony was graced by Hon. Manuel JayR N. Zamora, Jr., Municipal Mayor and BOT Chairperson; Hon. Manuel B. Brillantes, Jr., Vice Mayor; Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera, College President; members of the Sangguniang Bayan; MonCAST officials; faculty and staff; and students.

The proposed building marks another significant milestone in the College's continuing development, providing additional learning spaces that will support its growing student population and strengthen the delivery of quality education.

The project reflects the shared commitment of the Local Government Unit of Monkayo and MonCAST to investing in educational infrastructure and creating a more conducive learning environment for present and future MonCASTians.

MONCAST 18TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OPENS WITH THANKSGIVING MASS

With hearts united in gratitude and celebration, Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (MonCAST) officially opened its 18th Founding Anniversary with a Holy Mass on August 19, 2026.

The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emerson Sanchez, marking the beginning of the College's celebration of 18 years of service, growth, and commitment to quality education.

The thanksgiving celebration brought the MonCAST community together in prayer as the institution commemorated its journey and looked forward to another chapter of excellence and meaningful service to its students and community.

MonCAST joins the entire nation in the commemoration of Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21, 2026 (Friday), honoring the life, courage, and legacy of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr. The occasion is observed as a Special Non-Working Day pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025.

As an academic community, MonCAST recognizes the enduring significance of Ninoy Aquino’s courage and his commitment to democracy and freedom. May his life remind us that the pursuit of truth, justice, and freedom calls for courage, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the Filipino people.

MONCAST KICKS OFF 3-IN-1 CELEBRATION WITH ACQUAINTABO FAIR

With vibrant colors filling the streets, music setting the mood, and students turning heads in their festival-inspired ensembles, MonCAST came alive on August 18 as it opened a three-in-one celebration of AcquainTabo, its 18th Founding Anniversary, and Buwan ng Wika.

The festive atmosphere began with a lively parade of students dressed in creative Coachella Festival-inspired outfits, marking the opening of the AcquainTabo Fair, a celebration designed to bring students together, introduce them to the diverse organizations within the institution, and create a space for friendship, creativity, and self-expression.

The celebration continued with an opening program graced by Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera, LPT, EdD, College President, and Erap L. Ordaneza, LPT, MAEd-ELT, SAS Dean, who spearheaded the event with the Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers led by Elizer Jayc Labador, SSG President, and Rufel John Tutor, LPT, MAEd, SSG Moderator.

A highlight of the fair was the club booths, where students explored various organizations and registered for clubs aligned with their interests.

The festivities continued until evening with musical and artistic performances, bringing together the MonCAST community in a celebration of creativity, camaraderie, culture, and institutional pride.
