The two-day capacity development gathered the Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, Barangay Chairpersons on Peace and Order, Barangay Chairpersons on Family, Women and Children, and members of the Lupon Tagapamayapa from the five barangays of the Municipality of Morong. The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of barangay officials in the proper implementation of the Katarungang Pambarangay and in promoting peaceful and efficient resolution of community disputes.
Day 1 featured Atty. Jacqueline Paulino-Evangelista, Attorney V of NAPOLCOM Regional Office III, who provided an insightful discussion on the jurisdiction of the Lupon Tagapamayapa, rules on venue, and the common cases filed under the Katarungang Pambarangay.
