The BCMT is a 45-day training designed to equip the applicants with the essential skills, discipline, and knowledge required to effectively fulfill their roles as members of the Reserve Force.

To all interested applicants, these are the following pre-requisites:

- Filipino citizen with good moral character
- Physically and mentally fit for training
- At least High School Graduate
- Non-ROTC Graduate
- 18 years old but not more than 45 years old as they will compose the 1st Category Reserve
- Certified resident of CALABARZON Region

The 405th Community Defense Center, headed by COL MELGEVAL B HILAO INF (GSC) PA, attended in the Program of Recommitment for Stable and Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) together with the 202nd Infantry Brigade, 2ID, PA and 80th Infantry Battalion, 2ID, PA on 25 May 2026 held at Tanay Municipal Grounds, M.H. Del Pilar Street, Barangay Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal.

The activity was conducted by the Municipal Government of Tanay and was warmly welcomed by Hon. Rex Manuel C. Tanjuatco, Municipal Mayor. The event highlighted the continued commitment and unified efforts of the local government units, partner agencies, and security sectors in promoting peace, security, and development within the community.

This meaningful activity strengthens the collaboration of 405CDC, partner agencies, stakeholders in maintaining harmony, public safety, and a peaceful environment for the people of Tanay, Rizal.

The Bravo Company, 405th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion headed by 2LT KAREN H MACALUTAS PA (RES), actively participated in the Blood Letting Activity conducted in connection with the Birthday Celebration of Hon. Atty. Mara Estrella, Barangay Captain, in partnership with the Rizal Provincial Hospital System – Binangonan Annex on 21 May 2026 held at Plaza Aldea Hall, Brgy. Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal.

The activity aimed to promote volunteerism, strengthen community partnership, and help provide safe blood supply for individuals in need. Reservists of Bravo Company rendered support and participated in the humanitarian activity as part of their commitment to public service and community development.

This meaningful undertaking highlights the continuing dedication of the 405th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion in supporting initiatives that promote unity, compassion, and service to the people.

The Alpha Company, 405th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, led by 1LT ARIES ESQUIBEL PA (Res), Company Commander, under the supervision of COL MELGEVAL B HILAO INF (GSC) PA, Director, 405th Community Defense Center, together with the 80th Infantry Battalion and 202nd Infantry Brigade, attended the conduct of the Recommitment to Stable Internal Peace and Security of the Municipality of Angono on 18 May 2026 held at the Angono Municipal Hall, Angono, Rizal.

The activity highlighted the continued commitment, unity, and dedication of all participating stakeholders in strengthening cooperation, support, community development initiatives, Peace and Order within the area of responsibility.

The presence of the reservist personnel, alongside partner units and agencies, signifies their unwavering support for programs that promote partnership, service, and collective responsibility toward building a safer and more progressive community.

On 16 May 2026, the Sumulong College of Arts and Sciences ROTC Unit successfully held the Joint Closing Ceremony of the Cadet Officers Qualifying Course (COQC) and Basic Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), highlighting the successful conclusion of rigorous training, discipline, and leadership development among the cadets. The event was graced by the presence of COL MELGEVAL B HILAO INF (GSC) PA, Director, 405th Community Defense Center, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The ceremony highlighted the dedication, commitment, and perseverance of the participating cadets as they completed their respective trainings, preparing them to become responsible citizens and future leaders ready to serve the nation. In his message, COL HILAO emphasized the importance of discipline, patriotism, and leadership in shaping the youth to become dependable partners in nation-building and community service.

This milestone stands as a testament to the ROTC program’s mission of instilling patriotism, honor, courage, and service among the youth. Congratulations to all cadets for this remarkable achievement and for upholding the values of integrity, discipline, and excellence.

The 405th Community Defense Center, under the supervision of COL MELGEVAL B HILAO INF (GSC) PA, facilitated the Philippine Army Advance ROTC Cadet Qualifying Exam (PAARCQE) together with the PAARCQE Team of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army held at Amang Hall Building, University of Rizal System – Morong Campus, Brgy. San Juan, Morong, Rizal on 16 May 2026,

The activity aimed to assess the academic proficiency, military knowledge, leadership potential, and overall readiness of ROTC cadets in accordance with the standards set by the Philippine Army. The conduct of the qualifying examination serves as an essential step in ensuring the continuous development of disciplined, competent, and service-oriented cadets who are prepared to contribute to nation-building and national security.

Through the coordinated efforts of the PAARCQE Team of RESCOM, PA, the personnel of 405CDC and the University administration, the activity was successfully conducted in an organized and professional manner.

The successful facilitation of the PAARCQE reflects the steadfast commitment of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army and its partner educational institutions in promoting quality ROTC education and strengthening the Reserve Force program of the country.
