NFO Day 2 declares overall champion in the Toughest Firefighter Challenge

As Day 2 of the 10th National Fire Olympics progressed, from individual grit the focus shifted to the power of the collective. The Toughest Firefighter Challenge pushed their limits, synchronized their movements, shared burden, and proved that in the bureau, no one stands alone.

After a neck-and-neck battle, we are thrilled to announce the winning regions for the Toughest Firefighter Challenge.

🥇 GOLD: BFP Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
🥈 SILVER: BFP National Capital Region (NCR)
🥉 BRONZE: BFP Region 2 (Cagayan Valley)

For those following the scoreboard earlier, the winners were declared based on how the points are weighted for Event #3: Toughest Firefighter Challenge.
A. Male Individual Challenge: 25%
B. Female Individual Challenge: 25%
C. Team Challenge: 40%
D. Tug of War: 10%

These teams demonstrated coordination and displayed the “ONE BFP” spirit that defines our service.

The heat in Oroquieta City isn’t just coming from the sun today, and fire is still burning bright. The overall olympics is tightening up as we head tomorrow into the final stretches of the NFO!
