Pinning and Oath-Taking Ceremony Marks Milestone for BPA-PFM 4 Interns

On February 6, 2026, the Bachelor of Public Administration major in Public Financial Management (BPA-PFM) 4 students celebrated their Pinning Day at the Stan Covered Court, PUP Mulanay Campus. The event recognized the students’ completion of academic requirements prior to their field internship, with faculty members and program heads pinning official intern badges on each participant as a symbol of their readiness to serve in public and financial management roles.

Following the pinning rites, all interns took their oath of commitment to uphold professional ethics, integrity, and accountability as they begin their placements in local government units, state financial institutions, and partner public sector agencies. The oath was administered to emphasized the importance of responsible stewardship of public resources in their upcoming assignments.

BPA-PFM IV Attended at BJMP Seminar

On November 19, the Bachelor of Public Administration major in Public Financial Management IV participated in a seminar held at the PUP Mulanay Training Center. The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) hosted the event, centered on the theme "Changing Lives, Building a Safer Nation."

The seminar commenced at 9:20 AM with BJMP officers discussing the National Task Force (NTF) to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC 70), a national initiative designed to foster inclusive and sustainable peace by addressing local communist insurgencies. They also addressed the attendees regarding the Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign, emphasizing at the end, "Wag mo nang subukan, masisira ang buhay mo", highlighting the severe consequences of drug involvement. The 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women was another key topic, with a focus on the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, R.A. No. 9262. The session emphasized the importance of women in community involvement with the message: "A VAW-Free Community Starts With Me."

An overview of the BJMP's functions followed, detailing its role in overseeing municipal, district, and city jails. The BJMP's responsibilities encompass the secure custody of persons deprived of liberty, implementation of rehabilitation and reformation programs, maintenance of peace and order within jail facilities, and collaboration with law enforcement and community organizations. A key aspect highlighted was the BJMP's commitment to ensuring safety and order within its facilities. The officers then introduced themselves, outlining their roles and corresponding uniforms within the BJMP. The seminar concluded at 11 AM.

📣 LOOK | LEADERSHIP SEMINAR 2025 📣
Theme: “Empowered Leaders, Empowered Future”

The BPA 4 students of PUP Mulanay Campus actively participated in the Leadership Seminar 2025 organized by the Society for Public Administration and Governance (SPAG). The event was filled with engaging activities, teamwork exercises, and inspiring discussions that strengthened leadership skills, communication, and collaboration among future public administrators.

A highlight of the program was the talk by our esteemed Resource Speaker, Mr. Jemuel R. Moral, who shared his valuable insights, time, and experiences on effective leadership, ethical decision-making, and good governance. His inspiring words encouraged everyone to lead with passion, integrity, and purpose.

The participation and enthusiasm of BPA 4 students truly made the event a success — proving that empowered leaders indeed pave the way for an empowered future!

The Society for Public Administration and Governance (SPAG) of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Mulanay Campus successfully held its 1st General Assembly for the Academic Year 2025–2026 on October 10, 2025, at the NSTP Hall.

With the theme “Welcoming New Beginnings, Strengthening Bonds, and Leading with Purpose,” the event served as a formal opening of the organization’s activities for the year. It brought together Public Administration students from all year levels — with BPA 4 students proudly joining the assembly, strengthening the spirit of unity, leadership, and camaraderie within the organization.
