📋𝙑𝙎𝙂 𝙄𝙉 𝙎𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉: 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜

The Veterinary Student Government conducted its first Regular Meeting for AY 2026–2027, where the council discussed event updates, student welfare concerns, and upcoming plans for the CVSM community.

Among the matters discussed were the evaluation of the New First-Year Student Orientation, the Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive, the proposed Uniform Leniency Sensing Form, Grievance Form and Box, plans for the upcoming Batch Name Reveal and VSG Oath-Taking Ceremony. The body also deliberated on the VSG organizational structure, committee assignments, regular meeting schedules, attendance policies, and the calendar of activities for the academic year.

Student concerns regarding classroom ventilation, laboratory facilities, room availability, and learning environment comfort were also raised and endorsed for appropriate action. Through discussion and planning, the VSG remains committed to strengthening student representation, promoting transparency, and addressing the needs of the CVSM student body.

Leadership cannot exist without the community it serves. Currently, our college community is experiencing a decline in student participation, involvement, and initiative in leadership. When student voices recede, the entire community loses its advocacy and power.

The Veterinary Student Government (VSG) acknowledges the many complex factors that contribute to this, and we commit to addressing them with sincerity and transparency. Therefore, this leadership sensing form is your space to provide honest feedback, as it aims to gather critical data on why student leadership is declining. With this data, the VSG aims to address these reasons and to encourage and boost student leadership within the CVSM community.
