All Grade 12 students enrolled in pilot schools implementing the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum are now eligible to apply for the 2027 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship.

Applicants enrolled in the Strengthened SHS Curriculum are required to submit Form E5 along with other required forms via https://ugs.science-scholarships.ph/

📅 Application is ongoing until September 17, 2026 (Thursday). Applicants are advised to submit their applications early.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students under the Strengthened SHS Curriculum, who have already submitted their requirements using Form E1 or Form E2, are not required to resubmit their applications. Previously submitted applications remain valid and will be evaluated accordingly.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Taguig Kakanin Producers Cooperative (TKPC) received new food processing equipment from DOST-NCR on 31 July 2026 through the “𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗴 (𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗞𝗘) Taguig Project, including a cabinet steamer, coconut grater, deck oven, water bath pasteurization machine, rice grinder, and cooker mixer.

The technologies will help local kakanin makers improve production, develop safer and higher-quality products, and create new market-ready food products - while strengthening livelihoods and preserving Taguig’s rich culinary heritage.

Implemented under DOST’s 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝘂 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗧) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, the project brings science, technology, and innovation closer to local communities - helping traditional enterprises grow and thrive.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: To ensure the effective utilization and long-term sustainability of the Interactive Science Education Complex and State-of-the-Art Laboratory (ISEC-SAS Lab) facility at the Taguig National High School (TNHS), DOST-National Capital Region (𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐍𝐂𝐑) partnered with the 𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓 Advanced Manufacturing Center (𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐀𝐦𝐂𝐞𝐧) to conduct a two-day training workshop on “𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐃𝐟𝐀𝐌)” on July 28–29, 2026, at the ISEC-SAS Lab Building.

The training workshop strengthened the technical competencies of Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) teachers and students by equipping them with essential skills in using various Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for designing, developing, and refining digital prototypes for 3D printing technology. Through hands-on learning activities, participants gained practical experience in applying engineering design principles, creating optimized digital models, and utilizing digital design tools to support technology-driven education, innovation, and future product development initiatives.

Resource speaker Engr. Leif Oliver B. Coronado from DOST-AmCen shared valuable inputs on advanced design techniques using CAD software and slicing tools for additive manufacturing applications.

The ISEC-SAS Laboratory is a shared facility established through the collaborative efforts of DOST-NCR, the City Government of Taguig, and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Taguig City and Pateros. It serves as a platform for technology-enabled learning, innovation, and the development of future-ready STEM learners by providing access to advanced tools, facilities, and experiential learning opportunities.
