𝟐𝟎 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐮𝐩𝐚, 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤

Nasa 20 rescue at emergency response teams ang nakiisa sa Resilience Walk na pinangunahan ng Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM) noong Hulyo 25 bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng National Disaster Resilience Month.

Nagmartsa ang mga kalahok mula Sucat hanggang Tunasan upang isulong ang kahalagahan ng disaster preparedness, resiliency, at koordinasyon ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan, volunteer groups, educational institutions, at mga barangay sa pagtugon sa anumang sakuna at emergency.

Mahalaga ang ganitong mga inisyatiba upang mas mapalakas ang kahandaan ng mga komunidad at mapaigting ang kamalayan ng bawat Muntinlupeño sa tamang pagtugon sa oras ng kalamidad. Kaakibat ito ng hangarin ni Mayor Ruffy Biazon na patuloy na palakasin ang kakayahan ng lungsod at matiyak na handa ang bawat komunidad sa pagharap sa anumang emergency.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯

The 𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 concluded on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with another successful day of learning and community engagement as part of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 celebration at 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮.

Led by the 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗗𝗗𝗥𝗠) under the leadership of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗢. 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼, and in support of the vision of 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 for a safer, more prepared, and resilient Muntinlupa, the final day featured activities that further enhanced the disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities of participants.

The morning session focused on the 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where participants learned the importance of timely hazard monitoring, warning dissemination, and community preparedness in minimizing the impact of disasters.

In the afternoon, in observance of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗣𝗥 𝗗𝗮𝘆, participants took part in a 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗣𝗥 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, where they learned the proper chest compression technique and the importance of immediate bystander intervention during cardiac emergencies. The activity emphasized that anyone can help save a life by recognizing an emergency, calling for assistance, and performing high-quality chest compressions until professional responders arrived.

Throughout the event, participants and mall-goers also explored a 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 of various disaster response tools, equipment, and accessories, giving them a closer look at the specialized resources and technologies used by the Muntinlupa City DDRM during disaster response and rescue operations.

The activity was attended by representatives from various barangays in Muntinlupa City, mall-goers, and students and faculty members from Lyceum of Alabang, Inc., all of whom actively participated in the learning sessions and interactive exhibits. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and fostering a culture of resilience within the community.

As the 𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 came to a close, the City Government of Muntinlupa reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a culture of preparedness through continuous public education, empowering every Muntinlupeño to become more resilient in the face of emergencies and disasters.

As part of the City Government of Muntinlupa's continuing observance of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM), under the leadership of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗢. 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼 and with the full support of 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻, successfully conducted the second day of the 3-Day Resilience Caravan on July 16, 2026, at 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮.

The day's activities focused on enhancing participants' understanding of disaster response and public safety through a series of informative orientations and seminars.

The morning session featured an 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where participants were introduced to the principles of search and rescue operations, hazard recognition, responder safety, and the importance of timely and coordinated actions during earthquake- and landslide-related emergencies.

In the afternoon, participants attended a 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, which covered flood hazards, preparedness measures, evacuation planning, and personal safety during flood incidents. This was followed by a 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 facilitated by personnel from the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗕𝗙𝗣) – 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, highlighting fire prevention practices, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of fire extinguishers.

Representatives from various barangays in Muntinlupa City, together with mall-goers, actively participated throughout the day's activities, demonstrating the community's commitment to becoming more informed, prepared, and resilient against disasters.

Through collaborative initiatives such as the Resilience Caravan, the City Government continues to strengthen disaster awareness and promote a culture of preparedness, ensuring that every Muntinlupeño is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies.

In line with the vision of 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 to build a safe, prepared, and resilient community, the City Government of Muntinlupa continued to implement programs that strengthened the public's knowledge, skills, and capacity to prepare for and respond effectively to disasters and emergencies.

On July 15, 2026, the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM), headed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗢. 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼, successfully conducted the first day of the 3-Day Resilience Caravan in celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮.

Throughout the event, participants and mall-goers also explored a static display of various disaster response tools, equipment, and accessories, which provided them with a closer look at the specialized resources used by emergency responders during disaster response and rescue operations.

Through initiatives such as the Resilience Caravan, the City Government continued to empower communities with the knowledge and practical skills needed to build a safer, more prepared, and disaster-resilient Muntinlupa.
