32ND NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION WEEK: MUNTINLUPA POLICE BRING SAFETY EDUCATION, AID TO POBLACION COMMUNITY

MUNTINLUPA CITY โ€“ Marking the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week, the Muntinlupa City Police Station under the leadership of Acting Chief of Police PCOL OLIVIA C ANCHETA launched a meaningful Community Outreach Program at Poblacion Covered Court, Barangay Poblacion, this September 4, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Organized through the Station Community Affairs Section (SCAS) led by PMAJ ROLANDO O TY, in coordination with the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD) under PLT MICHELLE S PERIE, and in partnership with Mr. Ralph Paladio of OKCares Foundation, Inc., the activity blended vital public safety education with direct community support.

Three timely, relevant lectures formed the core of the program, addressing pressing security and social concerns:

โ€ข Nihilistic Violent Extremism: Equipped residents with knowledge to spot early signs of radicalization and protect the youth from harmful ideologies.

โ€ข Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act): Clarified forms of abuseโ€”physical, emotional, economicโ€”and explained legal remedies such as protection orders to break the silence around domestic violence.

โ€ข Illegal Drugs Awareness: Covered health dangers, legal consequences of substance use, and available rehabilitation support within the city.

Following the learning sessions, snacks and rice packs were distributed to attendeesโ€”providing immediate relief to vulnerable households while reinforcing the message that public safety and community welfare go hand in hand.

Beyond the aid and information shared, the event deepened trust between residents and local authorities, encouraging active citizen participation toward building a safer, more vigilant, and peaceful Muntinlupa.
