Empowering communities through knowledge this Women’s Month 💗

Asian Hospital Charities Inc., in partnership with the Asian Institute of Surgery, conducted a Breast Cancer Lay Forum for barangay healthcare workers and members of the community within Muntinlupa.

The forum featured informative discussions on breast cancer prevention and early detection by Dr. Bianca Isabelle Ejercito and Dr. Maria Prescilla Barreda, followed by a free breast examination demonstration by Dr. Mariano Acatador and Dr. Alodee Mejia, empowering participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills for early detection.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to strengthen community-based healthcare and promote proactive wellness among women.

More than just a mission, it is a commitment to compassionate care.

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center Department of Dental Medicine, led by Chairperson Dr. Peachy Tala-Sunico, successfully conducted an Oral Health Mission today at the Marillac Hills National Training School for Girls.

In a synergistic partnership with Asian Hospital Charities Inc., the initiative went beyond traditional check-ups. The mission focused on empowering the youth through comprehensive dental health workshops, interactive games, and gift distribution.

From educational sessions to community-building activities, the event showcases Asian Hospital’s commitment to social responsibility and holistic wellness.

Asian Hospital Charities, the official charity arm of Asian Hospital and Medical Center, together with the Department of Surgery, conducted a Medical Mission in Brgy. Alabang, Muntinlupa City, offering free screenings, consultations, and a lay forum as part of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month activities. The initiative aimed to promote early detection and raise community awareness about colorectal cancer prevention and risk factors.

The lay forum was led by Dr. Janna Villalon, a doctor from the Department of Surgery, who provided guidance on colorectal cancer prevention, early warning signs, and the importance of regular screening for timely detection and treatment.

Community members also received free screenings and were guided on the next steps for consultation and further evaluation if needed.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Barangay Chairperson Hon. Christine May Abas-Ding for allowing us to conduct this meaningful activity at the Alabang Barangay Hall.
