Activity: KP Benchmarking between Barangay Putatan and Barangay Bayanan

Attendees: Barangay Secretary King Marquez, Kgd. Rodney Solema, and Members of the Lupon Tagapamayapa of Barangay Putatan & Barangay Bayanan
Purpose of the Activity:
1. Exchange best practices in the implementation of the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) System.
2. Identify effective strategies in mediation, conciliation, and case management.
3. Strengthen the capacity of Lupon Tagapamayapa members through knowledge sharing.
4. Discuss LTIA assessment results and identify areas for continuous improvement.
5. Foster collaboration between Barangay Putatan and Barangay Bayanan in enhancing KP services.
Benchmarking Session:
The session was conducted through an interactive discussion covering the following topics:
• Standard procedures in handling KP complaints.
• Documentation and maintenance of KP records.
• Mediation and conciliation techniques.
• Common challenges encountered and practical solutions.
• Strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of KP services.
Discussion on LTIA Results:
• Both barangays achieved an Excellent/Outstanding rating of 97% in the LTIA assessment.
• The participants reviewed the results, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
• Key points of discussion included:
o Enhancing documentation and record-keeping.
o Improving case management systems.
o Ensuring compliance with LTIA standards.
o Adopting best practices shared during the benchmarking activity.
The discussion concluded with a commitment from both barangays to adopt applicable best practices, continuously improve their KP operations, and sustain compliance with LTIA standards to enhance the delivery of community-based justice services
