Nananatili sa Alert Level 2 ang Bulkang Kanlaon. Para sa kaligtasan ng mga apektadong lugar, ipinagbabawal ang pagpasok sa apat na kilometrong (4 km) radius ng Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) at ang paglipad ng anumang aircraft malapit sa tuktok ng bulkan.

Ayon sa PHIVOLCS, maaaring maganap ang biglaang pagputok ng steam o phreatic explosions. Pinag-iingat at pinaaalalahanan ang mga residente ng mga lalawigan ng Negros Occidental at Negros Oriental na ugaliing sumunod sa mga abiso ng mga awtoridad.
