For the first time, OFWs will be the scholars of OWWA in college.
This year, 500 qualified OFWs will form the first batch of LEAP-OFWs scholars. They will be given the opportunity to continue their studies and get closer to their dream of having a college degree.
Many OFWs have put their education on hold to prioritize their family's future. OWWA has long supported the education of OFWs' children. Now, with the help of CHED, OFWs themselves will be able to help them graduate from college.
Under the Lifelong Learning Education Assistance Program for OFWs or LEAP-OFWs, every qualified beneficiary can receive up to ₱50,000 in educational assistance for tuition and other assessment-related costs to obtain a bachelor's degree through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program or ETEEAP.
Under ETEEAP, the knowledge, skills, and work experience gained can be recognized and credited towards academic credits. Each applicant will go through the appropriate assessment and must meet the requirements of CHED and the school.
After you prioritize your family's dream, it's time to support your own dream.

📢 OFW HELP DESK NOW ACTIVATED IN NABUA! 🇵🇭💙

The LGU Nabua, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Atty. Fernando D. Simbulan, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), proudly announces the official activation of the OFW Help Desk in line with Executive Order No. 8, signed by the Municipal Mayor on March 2, 2026.

🤝 As part of our continuing commitment to bring government services closer to the community, Ms. Jamela Hazel B. Tranquilo, OWWA Family Welfare Officer (FWO), will be stationed at the PESO Office to provide direct assistance to our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their immediate family members.

📍 Strategically located in the center of the Rinconada area, Nabua will not only cater to inquiries from Nabueños but also from OFWs and their families in neighboring municipalities, making OWWA services more accessible across the district.
