PUBLIC ADVISORY | DDOPPO Encourages Qualified Youth to Apply for PNPA Cadet Admission Test 2026

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office encourages qualified young Filipinos to heed the call of service and apply for the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Cadet Admission Test 2026.

PNPACAT 2026 APPLICATION PERIOD:

QUALIFICATIONS:
✅ Natural-born Filipino Citizen
✅ 18 to 22 years old before May 1, 2027
✅ At least Senior High School graduate with GWA of 85% or higher
✅ Single, never married, nor pregnant (for females)
✅ Minimum height: 5'2" (males) / 5'0" (females)
✅ Normal BMI
✅ Physically and mentally fit
✅ Good moral character
✅ No pending complaint or case
✅ Not a former cadet of any service academy
✅ Never dismissed from employment

The Mawab Municipal Police Station held a youth awareness lecture on online safety, cyberbullying prevention and illegal drugs at Tuboran National High School on September 2, 2026, as part of the school’s Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) celebration.

𝗣𝗦𝗦𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗟 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗼, Assistant PCR PNCO of Mawab MPS, led the discussion upon the request of School Head Mrs. Lena A. Batino. The lecture, under the supervision of 𝗣𝗠𝗔𝗝 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗕 𝗗𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗢, COP of Mawab MPS, urged students to protect their personal information, use social media responsibly and seek help when facing online harassment or threats.

The discussion also addressed the dangers of illegal drugs, with students encouraged to resist peer pressure, choose positive influences and protect their goals. “Ang tinuod nga barkada dili magdala kanimo sa bisyo; dad-on ka niini padulong sa imong mga pangandoy,” the students were reminded.

The activity highlighted the shared role of police, schools, parents and students in creating a safe and drug-free learning environment. It also reinforced the importance of educating and empowering young people to make responsible choices and protect their future.

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO) held an anti-illegal drugs awareness lecture at Pantukan National High School on September 2, 2026, to help students understand the dangers of illegal drugs and the consequences of drug abuse.

PCpl Joefer Juab, PCADU Clerk, delivered the lecture, emphasizing responsible decision-making and the importance of rejecting illegal drugs. The discussion also highlighted the role of young people in preventing drug abuse in their school and community.

The activity formed part of the DDOPPO’s continuing efforts to strengthen drug prevention through education and community engagement, particularly among the youth.

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office recorded significant law enforcement gains in August, with operations across the province resulting in arrests, fi****ms recoveries and thousands of traffic and ordinance citations. The efforts were carried out under the leadership of Provincial Director PCOL CESARIO D DUKILING JR.

From August 1 to 31, police arrested 18 wanted individuals and conducted 37 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 45 persons. The campaign against loose fi****ms yielded 53 unlicensed weapons. Three operations against illegal gambling also led to the arrest of nine individuals.

Traffic and road safety enforcement remained a major focus. Under Republic Act 4136 and local traffic ordinances, police issued 921 temporary operator’s permits and 3,555 citation tickets. Enforcement of the No Helmet, No Travel Policy under Republic Act 10054 resulted in 55 temporary operator’s permits and 259 citation tickets. The August figures reflected the provincial police’s continuing efforts to strengthen discipline, enforce the law and protect communities across Davao de Oro.

This law strictly regulates the ownership and possession of fi****ms to prevent the proliferation of loose and unlicensed guns. The PNP urges the public to practice responsible gun ownership and warns that violations of RA 10591 will result in legal sanctions to ensure the safety and security of our communities.
