In celebration of Labor Day 2026, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Davao de Oro Field Office, under the leadership of Provincial Director Neil Allan R. Baban, in partnership with the Davao de Oro LGU PESOs, conducted a Job Fair and One-Stop-Shop Service Caravan at Assumption College of Nabunturan, benefiting 182 job seekers through accessible employment opportunities and essential government services. The initiative resulted in 44 applicants hired on the spot, underscoring the effectiveness of bringing employers and applicants together in one venue.
A total of eight employers took part in the job fair, representing key industries in retail, manufacturing, manpower services, mining, automotive, and finance sectors. These included Imperial Appliance Plaza, Davao Manpower Incorporated, Toyota Tagum City, 3ME Manpower Services, HC Consumer Finance Philippines, Inc., Apex Mining Co., Inc., Sanford Marketing Corporation, and Citi Hardware.
Simultaneously, partner agencies such as the Philippine Statistics Authority, Social Security System, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Department of Education provided on-site services, bringing government assistance closer to the people. The activity highlighted strong collaboration between government and private sector partners in promoting employment, skills development, and inclusive growth for Filipino workers.
