โ๏ธ A Journey of Service: From the Golden Valley to the National Stage
From the heart of the Land of Golden Opportunities, a story of leadership, unity, and purpose takes its place on the national stage.
The BSP Davao de Oro Council proudly celebrates the election of ES Mervin S. Somadela III of Atty. Orlando S. Rimando National High School as National Scout Representative (NSR) for Mindanao, earning a seat on the National Executive Board during the national proceedings held on April 14โ17, 2026. More than a milestone, this achievement is a responsibilityโto represent, to serve, and to amplify the voice of every Mindanaoan Scout.
This accomplishment was not achieved alone. Alongside Mervin is ES Razciella Marithฤ Angela R. Lim of Assumption Academy of Monkayo, Inc., whose dedication and leadership helped carry the banner of Davao de Oro on the national stage. Supporting them throughout the journey was Wendel B. Sanchez, WBH, who served as their accompanying Scout Leader, providing guidance and mentorship every step of the way.
They stood together with the Eastern Mindanao delegation, reflecting the strength of unity and shared purpose:

This success is a testament to the unwavering support behind the delegation. We extend our deepest gratitude to Governor Engr. Raul G. Mabanglo, Council Chairperson; Anecito A. Torrejos, OUC, Council Scout Executive; and Phoebe Gay L. Refamonte, CESO VI, Council Scout Commissioner.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Local Council Executive Board (LCEB), the hardworking Council Staff, our dedicated Scout Leaders, and the entire Scouting community of Davao de Oro.
We also recognize the invaluable support of the parents of our Scouts, whose trust and encouragement made this journey possible, as well as the strong backing of their respective institutionsโAtty. Orlando S. Rimando National High School and Assumption Academy of Monkayo, Inc.โfor championing and nurturing youth leadership.
This moment is more than recognitionโit is a testament to what youth leadership can achieve when grounded in humility, strengthened by mentorship, and uplifted by a community that believes in them.
โWe lead not by standing above others, but by walking beside them.โ
As this new chapter begins, the mission continuesโto serve with integrity, to lead with compassion, and to inspire change.
LAMBO, Bulawanong Scouts! To God be all the glory!
