Partnership for the Goal🤝🌴

July 29, 2026 | On behalf of PCA Region V Regional Manager III Dennis D. Andres, PCA Camarines Sur I Division Chief I John I. Villareal, together with Agriculturist II Larry V. Laniog, graced the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Naga Upland Green Canopy and Livelihood Program, held in Panicuason, Naga City.

The Naga Upland Green Canopy and Livelihood Program is an urban agroforestry initiative aimed at restoring ecosystems while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for upland communities.

The activity was spearheaded by Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and attended by various government agencies and partner institutions, including the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), environmental advocates, and community partners.

As part of the program's launch, a tree-planting activity was conducted, during which 50 Tacunan Green Dwarf coconut seedlings from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) were planted as the agency's contribution in support of this meaningful initiative.

Together, we continue to strengthen partnerships for environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and a greener future for our communities. 🌱💚

𝗣𝗖𝗔 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗜 welcomed the CFIDP Program Management Office Department Manager II, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑨𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒏 𝑨. 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒈, together with Project Evaluation Officer III, 𝑱𝒐𝒂𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒙𝒙 𝑮𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒂, for a coordination meeting and site inspection of the proposed CFIDP projects of the PCA-accredited cooperatives LICFACO, BOCOFAC, and PICFACO in Camarines Sur.

The activity was attended by the Board of Directors of the participating cooperatives, Division Chief I of PCA Camarines Sur I, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑰. 𝑽𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍, and the PCA agriculturists assigned to their respective areas.

This activity provided an opportunity to assess the proposed projects, address the concerns and queries of the cooperatives, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders. This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) to ensure that programs and interventions are responsive to the needs of coconut farmers and are implemented efficiently and effectively for the benefit of the coconut farming communities in Camarines Sur.

Bilang pagkilala sa kanilang mahalagang ambag sa pagtatatag at pangangalaga ng mga coconut nursery, umabot sa ₱536,250.00 ang kabuuang halaga ng insentibong ipinamahagi sa mga farmworkers mula sa tatlong nursery sites: Santa Cruz Coconut Farmers Agricultural Cooperative sa Villadima, Libmanan; PICFACO sa Caranan, Pasacao; at Bocal Cooperative sa Bocal, San Fernando, Camarines Sur.

Ang pamamahaging ito ay simula pa lamang, at inaasahan pang maipagkakaloob ang insentibo sa mga farmworkers mula sa iba pang coconut nursery sites.

Ang pagbibigay ng insentibong ito ay sumasalamin sa pagpapahalaga ng PCA sa mahalagang papel ng mga farmworkers sa matagumpay na pagpapatupad ng proyekto. Sa kanilang dedikasyon sa pagtatatag at pangangalaga ng mga coconut nursery, patuloy na napapalakas ang produksyon ng de-kalidad na punla na magsisilbing pundasyon ng planting at replanting program at ng pangmatagalang pag-unlad ng industriya ng niyog sa Camarines Sur.
