💙🧡❤️ End of a Beautiful Chapter & Exciting New Beginnings 💕
Looking back to March 2018, I remember being a new consultant , full of eagerness but still finding my footing. It was then that Dr. Marla Litam , our Medical Center Chief at the time, extended an incredible amount of trust by appointing me as the Gender and Development (GAD) Chairperson. I will forever be grateful for that defining opportunity and her belief in what I could bring to the table.
Through the years, as leadership transitioned, I was equally blessed to work under the guidance and unwavering support of our succeeding MCCs, Dr. Francisco Sales and our current MCC, Dr. Gregorio Gigantone. Thank you, Sirs, for continuously championing our GAD initiatives and ensuring that our advocacy always had a home and a voice in our institution.
A very special thank you also goes to our Former CMPS, Dr. Mary Jane Uy. Your constant support, encouragement, and guidance throughout my tenure have been invaluable in making our programs a success.
This journey wouldn't have been possible without my immediate mentor and past GAD Chair, Dr. Malou Sarmiento. Thank you for guiding me and sharing your wisdom. To Dra Michaellaine Tolentino, Ms Malou Valencia (prev GAD Vice chairperson ) and Dr Niña Gregorio (current GAD Vice chairperson ) and my amazing Technical Working Group (TWG), thank you for the tireless dedication, the late nights, and the shared passion. We didn’t just execute programs; we built a community.
To all the organizations, partners, and incredible people we collaborated with through the years—thank you. Every advocacy campaign, every community activity, and every milestone we achieved together has profoundly shaped who I am. I have truly grown as a person, and I enjoyed every single moment of it. 💖

🚀 Passing the Torch
As I take on a new and demanding chapter as the Head of Specialty Centers, I must officially step down from my role as GAD Chair.
It is my absolute honor to pass the torch to Dr. Jeejane Bonggao to take over the helm. I have no doubt that under her leadership, GAD will reach even greater heights and continue to touch more lives.
Thank you, everyone, for an unforgettable 8 years of advocacy, growth, and empowerment! On to the next mission! 🩺✨

PRIDE MONTH 2026 | DECORATION CONTEST Judging Day 🌈

Today was filled with color, creativity, and inspiring displays of diversity as our participating divisions and offices proudly showcased their Pride-themed decorations.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our judges, Sir Rexy Alvarez, Ms. Henrieta Blacer, and Ms. Janel Tria, for their time, dedication, and thoughtful evaluation of each entry.

We also express our heartfelt gratitude to our GAD Chairperson, Dr. MARIE ANNE NGHUA-RAMOS, for her unwavering support and presence throughout the activity.

Special thanks as well to the BMC LGBTQIA+ Officers, Division Representatives, and TWG Members for their active participation and commitment in making this activity a success.

To all participating divisions and offices, thank you for showcasing creativity, unity, and your commitment to promoting respect, acceptance, and equality. Together, we continue to celebrate diversity and build a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered. 🏳️‍🌈✨

Today, a series of coordination and planning meetings were conducted in preparation for the upcoming Women’s Month, Pride Month, and Solo Parent celebrations. The meetings were spearheaded by Dra. Marie Anne NgHua-Ramos, GAD Chairperson, to ensure that all planned activities are well-coordinated, inclusive, and aligned with the objectives of the Gender and Development.

The Naga City Social Hygiene Clinic, represented by Ms. Grace E. Guevara, MT II, together with Mr. Reymond A. Condecion, Project Support Officer of AHF. Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration, particularly on health-related services.

This was followed by a consultative meeting with the LGBTQIA+ Organization officers and members, led by LGBTQIA+ President Mx. Arnel Notario, together with Vice President De Lima, Jomari and other LGBTQIA+ members. The meeting served as a platform to discuss and refine proposed activities, ensuring that they are inclusive, gender-responsive, and aligned with the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Also, the planning discussions were enriched by the participation of Solo Parent members—Ms. Panes Maria Theresa, Ms. Caudilla Cheryl, Ms. Garcia Canelle May, and Ms. Villarico Aileen—whose inputs helped refine responsive and empowering activities for solo parent beneficiaries.

An additional coordination meeting was also conducted with the PIO Team, led by Ms. Mae San Joaquin. The discussion centered on promotional plans to ensure effective information dissemination and wider reach of the planned celebrations.

Overall, the meetings strengthened collaboration among internal offices, external partners, and sectoral groups, resulting in clearer activity frameworks and improved implementation plans for the observance of Women’s Month, Pride Month, and Solo Parent celebrations.
