34TH NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH 2026 🇵🇭

MANINDIGAN! TUMUGON AT KUMALINGA: SA BATANG HANDA, MAS LIGTAS ANG BANSA. 📣

Ngayong 34th National Children’s Month (NCM), binibigyang-diin natin ang Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE)—ang pangangalaga sa karapatan, kaligtasan, at kapakanan ng mga bata bago, habang, at pagkatapos ng mga sakuna at iba pang emergency.

Ang tema ngayong taon ay mula mismo sa tinig ng mga bata. 💙

Sa pamamagitan ng MakabaTanong online survey at National Children’s Month–Children’s Brainstorming Session (NCM-CBS), ibinahagi ng mga bata ang kanilang mga karanasan, saloobin, at mga usaping higit na nakaaapekto sa kanilang buhay. Kabilang sa kanilang mga binigyang-diin ang lumalaking panganib na dulot ng mga bagyo, baha, lindol, armadong tunggalian, at iba pang krisis.

Ipinapaalala sa atin ng mga bata: kailangan nilang maging handa, ligtas, protektado, at may boses sa panahon ng emergency.

Ngayong 34th NCM, sama-sama nating isulong ang isang Pilipinas kung saan ang bawat bata ay handa sa panganib, napapakinggan, at higit sa lahat, napoprotektahan.

Manindigan. Tumugon. Kumalinga. 🤝

The Sixth Monthly Meeting of the Naga City Children’s Federation officially commenced at 2:13 PM, presided over by Federation President Joenard Querben V. Agullana. The session formally opened with the roll call of delegates and the confirmation of quorum, marking the beginning of another productive and collaborative meeting.

𝗜𝗜. 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮

The Federation discussed the following agenda:

* Roll Call of Attendance
* Submission of the Naga City People’s Council (NCPC) Accreditation Form for the Children’s Sector representing the 27 Barangay Children’s Organizations
* Consultation with HON. Lawrence Jethro Bermundo City Youth Councilor and Former President of the Naga City Children’s Federation
* Approval of the Draft Resolution
* Other Matters
* Adjournment

𝗜𝗜𝗜. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

* The meeting commenced with the roll call, confirming the attendance of officers and representatives from the 27 Barangay Children’s Organizations.
* The Federation discussed the submission of the Naga City People’s Council Accreditation Form for the Children’s Sector. Members were oriented on the documentary requirements and accreditation process to ensure that all participating barangay children’s organizations are properly represented.
* A consultation session was conducted with Mr. Lawrence Bermudo, City Youth Councilor and Former President of the Naga City Children’s Federation. He shared his experiences and insights on leadership, youth participation, organizational sustainability, and the important role of child leaders in local governance.
* The body also deliberated on the proposed Draft Resolution. After the discussion, Princess Niña Cayagopresented a collective motion for its approval, which was duly recognized and approved by Federation President Joenard Querben V. Agullana. With no objections raised, the Draft Resolution was officially adopted by the Federation.

𝗜𝗩. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹

The Draft Resolution was formally approved through a collective motion initiated by Princess Nina Cayago and approved by Federation President Joenard Querben V. Agullana, reflecting the Federation’s collective commitment to strengthening its programs, initiatives, and advocacy for the welfare and protection of children.

The meeting was attended by the Federation officers and representatives from the 27 Barangay Children’s Organizations, whose active participation demonstrated their continued dedication to promoting children’s rights, meaningful participation, and youth leadership in the City of Naga.

Tama o Mali? 🤔
“Walang mangyayari sa batang below 15 kahit heinous crime ang ginawa?” ❌ Mali ‘yan!

Ayon sa Republic Act 9344 or Juvenile Justice Welfare Act, as amended by, may proseso para tugunan ang mga kaso ng mga batang nasa edad 15 pababa, kahit pa ito ay heinous crime. Ilalagay sila sa isang detention facility na tinatawag na Bahay Pag-Asa sa loob ng isang taon at pwedeng i-extend pa depende sa assessment ng multi-disciplinary team.

Sa Naga City, sa tulong ng iba't ibang ahensiya at CSOs na sumusulong sa kapakanan at karapatan ng mga bata, na-formulate ang isang sistematikong "Child-rights Based Protocol Flowchart in Responding and Handling cases of CAR and CICL" kung saan ito ay ibinaba sa lahat ng 27 BCPC upang sila ay matulungan at bigyan ng tamang kaalaman kung sakaling magkaroon ng kaso ng CAR at CICL sa kanilang nasasakupan.

Ito rin ay nagbibigay ng tamang interbensiyon sa mga duty-bearers upang masiguro na kahit CICL ang isang bata, ay di nalalabag ang kanyang mga karapatan.

Dapat nating paigtingin ang mga prevention programs para sa kabataan. Base sa mga pag-aaral, malaki ang impluwensya ng pamilya, komunidad, at mga kaibigan sa pinagdadaanan ng isang bata kaya mahalagang gabayan sila nang tama. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan nating lahat, mas mabibigyan natin ang bawat kabataan ng mas ligtas at maayos na kinabukasan at malayo sa kapahamakan.
