₱5M funding support awarded for Naga Creatives Hub
NAGA CITY — Mayor Maria Leonor G. Robredo and CEPPIO Head Allen Reondanga were presented with the approval of a ₱5-million funding allocation by DTI Regional Director Dindo V. Nabol Jr. and DTI Camarines Sur Provincial Director Jay Percival Ablan during the Monday Flag Ceremony at the Naga City Hall Grounds.
The approved funding, to be implemented and procured through the Department of Trade and Industry, will support the establishment of a Shared Service Facility for Nagueño artists and creatives under the proposal submitted by the City Government of Naga.
Hadrian Botabara, CEPPIO Culture and Arts Division Chief, said the assistance, granted under DTI’s Shared Service Facilities Program, will support the establishment of the Naga Creatives Hub at the PAGCOR Multipurpose Building.
The fund will be used to procure equipment for the hub’s key components, including a recording and podcasting studio, editing room, ideation room, co-working space, and artists gallery.
With the city government, through CEPPIO, serving as project cooperator, the initiative aims to provide artists, creatives, and cultural workers with a collaborative space for production, innovation, and creative enterprise development.
The project forms part of the continuing partnership between DTI and the City Government of Naga to strengthen the local creative sector.
