DILG Naga City Strengthens Commitment to Inclusive Local Development Planning

DILG Naga City, represented by LGOO II Ralph Vincent Lagunsing, together with City Planning Office Representative Engr. Herlyn Lanzuela Delos Reyes, participated in the Training-of-Trainers (TOT) and Roll-out of the Manual of Operations on Mainstreaming Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in Local Government Units’ (LGUs) Comprehensive Development Plans (CDPs) held on August 24–26 2026.

The activity was conducted by Asian Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Office, with the goal of enhancing the capacity of local government to effectively integrate gender equality, diversity, and social inclusion into local development planning.

DILG Naga City conducted a capacity-building activity on Katarungang Pambarangay for the members of the Lupon Tagapamayapa of Barangay Balatas, aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills in effectively administering barangay-level justice and dispute resolution.

City Local Government Operations Officer Elmer M. Villanueva Jr. shared his expertise and insights on Katarungang Pambarangay, providing valuable guidance to the Lupon members in carrying out their roles and responsibilities with competence, fairness, and commitment to public service.

Meet these UNCean Interns here in DILG-Naga: Avril, Christian, Kenneth, and Shane! who started their internship program in the office last September 2, 2026.

With their first week ready for fresh, valuable, and meaningful experiences in an actual public service environment. Just the beginning of a journey filled with eagerness in learning local government operations!

The internship team from the University of Nueva Caceres is composed of fourth-year Bachelor of Arts in Political Science students namely: Christian P. Ornido, Angelica Shane A. Jullanes, Avril Penelope B. Rillera ,and Mark Kenneth D. Guisic.

The Naga City Peace and Order Council (NCPOC) convened for its 3rd Quarter Meeting today, September 2, 2026, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall in Naga City. The meeting brought together council members and partner agencies to discuss key matters concerning the city’s peace and order situation and ongoing efforts to ensure a safe, secure, and peaceful Naga.

Presided over by Naga City Mayor Leni Gerona Robredo, the council deliberated on various concerns and initiatives, including the current peace and order situation, the creation of special action committees, and measures to strengthen coordination and collaboration among concerned agencies in addressing emerging issues and maintaining public safety.

The meeting underscored the council’s continuing commitment to a proactive, coordinated, and community-centered approach to peace and order. Through strengthened partnerships and responsive strategies, the NCPOC remains dedicated to supporting the city’s efforts toward a safer, more peaceful, and resilient Naga City.

Bago ang Eleksyon, Alamin ang Serbisyo.

Bilang paghahanda para sa 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), inilulunsad ng Balangibog ang isang three-part Pre-BNEO Series para sa mga nais tumakbo at maglingkod bilang barangay officials.

Sa seryeng ito, pag-uusapan ang mga tungkulin, responsibilidad, at functions ng bawat posisyon upang mas maunawaan ng mga aspiring barangay officials ang kanilang magiging mandato at pananagutan sa komunidad.

Ngayong Agosto 18, 2026, ginugunita natin ang ika-14 na anibersaryo ng pagpanaw ng dating Kalihim ng Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal, Jesse M. Robredo. Buong paggalang nating inaalala ang kanyang buhay, marangal na paglilingkod, at walang sawang pagtalima sa tungkulin para sa kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Labing-apat na taon man ang lumipas mula nang siya ay pumanaw, nananatiling buhay ang kanyang pamana at nagsisilbing inspirasyon upang itaguyod ang katapatan, pananagutan, at tunay na malasakit sa ating mga pamayanan at sa buong bansa. Nawa’y patuloy nating alalahanin at pahalagahan ang kanyang mga ambag at isabuhay ang mga pagpapahalagang kanyang ipinaglaban.
