SARINGSING ART EXHIBIT 🎨 | The Kintab Artists Group of Naga City and the Isla Catanduanes Artists’ Guild come together for Saringsing, a joint art exhibition that celebrates shared roots, cultural identity, faith, and artistic expression.

Drawing from the Bicolano understanding of saringsing as a tender shoot or new growth, the exhibition reflects the continuing flourishing of creativity from deeply rooted traditions and shared experiences. It brings together artists from Naga and Catanduanes in a collective celebration of art, heritage, and devotion, particularly in the spirit of the Peñafrancia festivities.

The exhibition is open to the public at Robinsons Naga from September 1 to 11, 2026.

TRANSFER OF EL DIVINO ROSTRO FROM THE BASILICA TO PEÑAFRANCIA SHRINE 🌹 | Yesterday marked the beginning of the nine-day novena in honor of El Divino Rostro, as the revered image was solemnly transferred in procession from the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Minor Basilica and National Shrine to the Old Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

The Solemnity of El Divino Rostro will be celebrated on September 11, 2026, which will also mark the commencement of the nine-day novena in honor of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. On this occasion, the images of El Divino Rostro and Our Lady of Peñafrancia will once again traverse the major streets of Naga City in a solemn Traslacion, marking the beginning of the city’s most cherished religious observances.

5TH MANTO EXHIBIT 🟡 | The Fifth Manto Exhibit officially opens at Robinsons Naga, featuring a collection of intricately crafted mantos created in honor of Our Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

Now on its fifth year, the exhibit brings together faith, heritage, craftsmanship, and artistic expression, highlighting the cultural and devotional significance of the mantos traditionally offered to and used for the image of the Patroness of Bicol.

The opening also featured Pagmamanto, a sacred Bicolano Catholic ritual in which a priest or minister places the manto of Our Lady of Peñafrancia over a devotee’s head while prayers for healing and protection are offered.

DAY 2 OF NAGA CREATIVE DISCOVERY GAME DEVELOPMENT AND ANIMATION WORKSHOP 👾 | Animators and game developers brought their ideas to life as their creative outputs were showcased and synthesized today, marking the culmination of a productive learning experience. We extend our congratulations to Ryne Media for the successful conduct of this two-day workshop, which provided artists and creatives under the Digital Interactive Media and Audiovisual Media domains with valuable opportunities to enhance their skills, exchange insights, and explore new avenues for innovation.

The workshop served as a platform for collaboration, creativity, and professional growth, empowering participants to further develop their craft and contribute to the continued advancement of the creative industries. We commend all participants, mentors, and organizers whose dedication and enthusiasm made this initiative a meaningful and enriching experience!

DAY 2 OF NAGA CITY CO-CREATION ACTIVITY: BUKLAT BOOKMAKING WORKSHOP 📚 | Towfee Book Publishing and the Naga City Arts and Culture Coalition Inc. conclude BUKLAT, a two-day workshop supported through the Naga City Co-Creation Fund, which brought participants together to explore cultural education through storytelling and book creation.

Following the learning sessions on storytelling, illustration, and the creative process of developing stories for children on its first day, the workshop concluded with a synthesis of key learnings and insights, allowing participants to reflect on the ideas and skills gained throughout the two-day session.

The activity also culminated in the awarding of certificates to the participants, recognizing their active participation and completion of the workshop.

We extend our appreciation to Towfee Book Publishing and the Naga City Arts and Culture Coalition Inc. for the successful conduct of BUKLAT and for creating a meaningful space for learning, creativity, and the development of stories that celebrate imagination and culture.
