Before I could lead others, I first had to understand who I truly am.

Leadership was never about the title I carried, but about the purpose I chose to live by. And now, as I officially conclude my term as Supreme Student Government President for A.Y. 2025–2026, I do so with a grateful heart and a deeper understanding of what it truly means to serve.

This journey was never mine alone. It was built through your trust, your voices, your struggles, and the victories we celebrated together as Technologists. Every challenge strengthened us, and every moment reminded me that genuine leadership is not about recognition—it is about leaving behind service that continues even after the position is passed on.

Today, I may be turning over the responsibility to the next leaders, but I leave knowing that this organization will continue to grow through passionate individuals who are willing to serve beyond themselves.

The term may end, and the title may no longer be mine, but my commitment to the Technologists will never fade. I will always remain someone who listens, supports, and stands with this community that became my home.

Thank you for allowing me to serve, to lead, and to grow with all of you.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 | Beyond the Ranks: The Faith and Struggles of CTU Naga’s First LPT Topnotcher

Cheers and applause echoed through the Cebu Technological University – Naga Extension Campus as the academic community gathered to honor Ms. Mariel B. Umbay. Making history as the campus’s first-ever topnotcher, Ms. Umbay secured the 7th spot in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (Bachelor in Elementary Education) with a remarkable 93.40% rating. Yet, behind this monumental achievement is a relatable story of nerve-racking anxiety, self-doubt, and profound faith.

Despite her stellar ranking, Umbay admitted that the days leading up to the announcement were filled with uncertainty. “Wala man gud mi kahibaw nga makapasar ba mi or di, kay di mi sure ba,” she shared.

The anticipation took a heavy toll on her peace of mind, describing the feeling of waiting as very overwhelming and nerve-racking. To cope with the immense tension, she chose to disconnect entirely. “Nagsabot mi sa akong mga amiga nga dili mi magkupot sa among cellphone kay para dili makakita sa results,” Umbay recalled.

The silence was eventually broken when her phone began vibrating nonstop from an influx of congratulatory notifications and messages. Describing that life-changing moment, she said, “Pagkita nako sa elementary nga result, didto na, nawagtangan na’g tunok akong dughan unya nindot kaau sa feeling.”

Her journey to the top was not solely built on intense academic reviews; it was heavily anchored in spiritual devotion. As part of her preparation, she shared, “Usa sa akong gibuhat kay Visita Iglesia. Supposedly 7 churches, unya kay nag-round south man mi, so naka-abot mi’g 32 ka churches.”

While she had a strong feeling she would pass after taking the test, the exam itself pushed her to her limits. “Pag-Professional Education (Prof Ed), didto na ko nga murag ni-hagba kay lisod jud kaau siya, mura ra ko’g wala gatuon,” she confessed.

Looking back at the intense hurdles, she credits her historic success to a higher power, stating, “pero by God’s Grace nakaya ra jud.”

For aspiring educators and future LET takers, Umbay’s journey stands as a reminder that success is not always measured by confidence during the process, but by the courage to continue despite fear and uncertainty. Behind every license earned is a story of sacrifices, sleepless nights, setbacks, and silent prayers—proof that perseverance often matters just as much as intelligence.

Ms. Umbay’s victory serves as a powerful testament to future educators that excellence is forged through both hard work and resilience. ‎The Cebu Technological University – Naga Extension Campus successfully conducted and participated in various student-centered activities and programs throughout the Academic Year 2025–2026, promoting leadership, student engagement, cultural appreciation, sportsmanship, social awareness, and community involvement.
‎
‎Among the major activities conducted were "Pakighimamat sa CTU Naga 2025", "Hearts Day Celebration 2025", "World AIDS Day 2025", "Anti-Bullying Forum 2026", "NAGA HATAG 2026: Nagahatag Tabang sa Gugma", "The Emergence: Leadership Summit 2026", and "SINAG 2026 Intramurals" with the theme, “Rise, Innovate, and Unite through Sports, Culture, and the Arts.”

‎The SSG also proudly participated in the "17th Interactive Youth Forum: NextGen Leadership – Champions of Good Governance" held in Baguio City last February 25–27, 2026, further strengthening the leadership capabilities and civic engagement of student delegates.

‎These activities served as platforms for students to showcase their talents, enhance leadership and interpersonal skills, strengthen camaraderie, promote awareness on relevant social issues, and encourage active participation in community and institutional development. Through collaborative efforts among student leaders, faculty advisers, campus officials, and volunteers, the successful implementation of each activity reflected the commitment of CTU Naga in fostering holistic student development and inclusive leadership.

‎Special recognition and appreciation are extended to the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Naga officers and especially to Hon. Jlord Villarino for his leadership, dedication, and commitment in spearheading and supporting the successful implementation of these activities and initiatives. His efforts, together with the SSG officers, significantly contributed to the success and impact of the programs conducted for the student body and the community.

1. CBC (recent result)
2. Chest Xray (within 6 months upon enrolment)
3. Drug Test (within 6 months upon enrolment)
4. Urinalysis
4. Physical Exam and Medical Certificate
5. Stool Exam ( for BTLED students only )

💉 for BTLED students :

- There is an additional laboratory procedure required which is the Stool Exam.


💉 For 4th year Students (OJT)
- Students are required to submit the following:
