The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr)–Laguna Provincial Office conducted a one-day technical assistance and orientation for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councils of Nagcarlan on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in response to the need of nearly 20 SK Councils whose Fidelity Bonds were either nearing expiration or had already expired.

The activity aimed to assist the concerned SK Chairpersons and SK Treasurers in understanding the requirements, procedures, and necessary steps in securing and renewing their fidelity bonds—an important mechanism in promoting accountability, responsibility, and integrity in the handling of public funds.

The program began with an orientation conducted by the Bureau of the Treasury–Laguna Provincial Office, providing the participating SK officials with essential information on the Fidelity Bond process, documentary requirements, responsibilities of accountable officers, and other important procedures that must be observed in the proper administration and safeguarding of public funds.

Following the orientation, the BTr personnel proceeded with the processing and issuance of confirmation letters to the SK Chairpersons and SK Treasurers who availed themselves of the one-day assistance. This arrangement provided the concerned SK officials with a more accessible and efficient way of completing the necessary process without the need for repeated travel and follow-ups.

The initiative reflects the importance of inter-agency coordination and technical assistance in strengthening good governance at the grassroots level. By bringing the appropriate government agency closer to the SK Councils, the activity helped address an immediate administrative concern while simultaneously reinforcing the knowledge and capacity of young public officials in fulfilling their responsibilities.

The Youth and Sports Development Office (YASDO), headed by Youth Development Officer I Patrick P. Sollorano, facilitated and supported the activity as part of its continuing commitment to assist the Sangguniang Kabataan Councils of Nagcarlan in strengthening their administrative and governance capacities.

More than completing a requirement, the activity served as a reminder that public office carries with it a responsibility to protect, manage, and account for public resources with diligence and integrity.

The celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) 2026 continues to demonstrate the energy, creativity, leadership, and commitment of the youth in building stronger and more vibrant communities.

On August 21, 2026 (Ninoy Aquino Day), the Youth and Sports Development Office (YASDO), headed by Youth Development Officer I Patrick P. Sollorano visited and witnessed various LNK activities organized by different Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councils across the municipality.

The visit was more than a simple participation in the celebration. It was an opportunity to connect with our young leaders, recognize their efforts, listen to their experiences, and witness their meaningful contributions to their respective communities.

From sports and recreational activities to youth-centered programs and community initiatives, the LNK celebrations reflected the dedication of our SK officials and youth volunteers in creating opportunities where young people can participate, lead, collaborate, and make a difference.

These initiatives embody an important principle in youth development: the youth should not merely be beneficiaries of government programs—they should be empowered partners in designing and implementing them.

The presence of YASDO in these celebrations also reinforces the Office's commitment to providing technical assistance, coordination, support, and guidance to our SK Councils as they carry out programs that respond to the needs and aspirations of the youth.

To all Sangguniang Kabataan officials, youth volunteers, participants, and community partners—thank you for your dedication and active participation in Linggo ng Kabataan 2026. Your efforts remind us that meaningful youth development begins when young people are given the opportunity to lead, the confidence to participate, and the platform to serve.

In a thrilling quarterfinal round matchup, Nagcarlan U25 secured a convincing 84–69 victory over Team Majayjay, finishing the game with a commanding 15-point margin. This important win adds another victory to our campaign and brings our current record to 1–2 in the Quarterfinal Round.

More than the final score, this victory reflects the hard work, discipline, teamwork, and never-say-die attitude of our players and coaching staff. Every defensive stop, every rebound, every assist, and every basket contributed to this important victory for Nagcarlan.

But the battle is far from over. With two crucial games remaining, Team Nagcarlan U25 will continue its fight against Team Los Baños and Team Pagsanjan.

These final games will be crucial as our team continues to chase its goal in the semifinal round of the 2026 Laguna Intertown Basketball Tournament. Every game matters, and every point counts.
