Today, Hon. John Rod B. Estira, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President of the Municipality of Naguilian, proudly attended the State of the Province Address (SOPA) 2026 of Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega, held on July 28, 2026, at the Speaker Pro-Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The event highlighted the Province of La Union’s accomplishments, ongoing programs, and future development plans aimed at fostering inclusive growth, good governance, and improved public service for all La Unionians.

As a representative of the youth sector, Hon. John Rod B. Estira remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and strengthen partnerships between the provincial government and local youth leaders in building a progressive and sustainable La Union.

Together, let us continue to inspire leadership, promote unity, and create more opportunities for the youth and every La Unionian.

📚🤝 COURTESY VISIT | Supporting Youth Research and Academic Excellence

The Office of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President warmly welcomed two students from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – East La Union Campus (DMMMSU-ELUC), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), who paid a courtesy visit to Hon. John Rod B. Estira as part of the completion of their undergraduate thesis.

During their visit, the students administered their research questionnaires and discussed matters relevant to their study. The meeting reflects the SK Federation’s continued commitment to supporting academic research and empowering young scholars through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Naguilian believes that research plays a vital role in developing evidence-based programs and policies that will benefit the youth and the community.

We extend our appreciation to these aspiring criminology professionals for choosing our office as one of their research respondents. We wish them the very best in completing their thesis and in all their future endeavors.
