Municipal Government of Naguilian, La Union Responsive public information system to create public awareness and support for the development prog

Originally a part of Bauang in the province of Pangasinan, Naguilian derived its name from the Iloko phrase “Nag-ili-an dagiti gan-ganaet” meaning “a place where people from other places come to stay”. It is formed from the Iloko root word “ili” meaning “town” which was later modified as “NAGUILIAN”. Its separation from Bauang coincided with the centennial celebration of the Catholic Church of Nag

uilian in 1839. When La Union was created by a Royal Decree in 1850, Naguilian was one of the twelve (12) towns that comprised the province.

Ortega Convention Center, Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Spearheaded by the Office of the Municipal Public Employment Service Manager (PESM) and the Office of the Municipal Youth Development Officer (MYDO), the event gathered 14 local employers and two overseas employers, offering an impressive 1,410 job vacancies.
214 Local Vacancies

69 Jobseekers Hired on the Spot
15 Government Agencies Providing One-Stop Services

Among the highlights of the event was the successful recruitment of 25 new service crew members by Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, making it the top local employer in terms of on-the-spot hiring. It was followed by McDonald’s Naguilian with 10 service crews hired on the spot. The successful applicants were assessed during the job fair and qualified to begin work ASAP.
