Princess Urduja Elementary School of SDO Palawan has been recognized with the prestigious Scalable Excellence Award by the Department of Education Regional Office MIMAROPA for its outstanding performance in the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA) for School Year 2025โ€“2026.

The award recognizes PUES as a high-density school that successfully attained a Proficient-Level Overall Mean Percentage Score (MPS) in the ELLNA while consistently sustaining quality learning outcomes and effectively serving a large learner population.

The recognition was formally conferred during the Regional Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting held on June 29, 2026, at Madison 101 Hotel + Tower, New Manila, Quezon City. Princess Urduja Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the TIM TEBOW FOUNDATION for conducting a meaningful Value Formation Program on July 13, 2026 at 4:30 in the afternoon. Through the preaching of God's Word, prayer, and inspiring messages of self-love and kindness, our learners were encouraged to strengthen their faith, appreciate their worth, and become better individuals.

Learners of Princess Urduja Elementary School participated in a meaningful Value Formation Program conducted by the TIM TEBOW FOUNDATION on July 13, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The activity focused on strengthening the pupils' faith and moral values through the preaching of God's Word. Members of the religious organization encouraged the children to develop a deeper relationship with God through prayer and to value and love themselves as unique individuals created with purpose.

Most of the volunteers who facilitated the session came from the United States of America, sharing messages of hope, kindness, and compassion. The learners actively listened, joined in prayer, and expressed appreciation for the inspiring lessons.

In support of the Department of Education's continuing efforts to ensure safe and secure learning environments, Princess Urduja Elementary School officially implemented the Bag Inspection Guidelines beginning July 13, 2026, in accordance with DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026.

The initiative aims to strengthen campus safety while safeguarding the rights, dignity, and welfare of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and school visitors. The bag inspection is conducted as part of the school's preventive safety measures to maintain a peaceful, orderly, and child-friendly educational environment.

Following the provisions of the policy, bag inspections are carried out only by authorized school personnel using non-contact inspection methods whenever applicable. The procedures are implemented with fairness, respect, and transparency, ensuring that learners' privacy and rights are protected throughout the process.

School Principal IV Dr. Carmen D. Pactao emphasized that the implementation of the guidelines reflects the school's commitment to creating a secure environment where every learner can study with confidence and peace of mind.

Teachers, parents, and other stakeholders have expressed their support for the initiative, recognizing that school safety is a shared responsibility. The school also continues to remind learners to cooperate during inspections and to observe school rules and safety protocols.

Princess Urduja Elementary School has once again demonstrated excellence in foundational learning after emerging among the top-performing schools in the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA) for School Year 2025โ€“2026. The assessment is part of the Department of Education's initiative to measure learners' proficiency in language, literacy, and numeracy.

Out of 133 learner-examinees, the school posted impressive Mean Percentage Scores (MPS) across the three assessment areas:

- English: 85.76%
- Filipino: 90.01%
- Numeracy: 93.16%
