Hon. SBM Michael R. Velasco paid a visit to the Grade 10 students of Narvacan National Central High School today, March 23, 2026 as part of his continued efforts to support and inspire the youth in their educational journey. During his visit, he personally engaged with the students, sharing insights and encouragement as they prepare for their future academic paths.

Apart from his role in public service, he also serves as the President and CEO of Polytechnic Colleges of Region 1, Inc., an institution committed to providing quality and accessible education. In his talk, he introduced the various academic programs offered by the college and emphasized its mission to open doors for students, especially those who may be facing financial difficulties.

Aligned with his advocacy of promoting inclusive and accessible education, SBM Velasco highlighted the institution’s initiatives, including free tuition and a comfortable, student-centered learning environment that nurtures both academic excellence and personal growth. His visit served as a meaningful opportunity to encourage students to pursue their dreams and consider pathways that will help them succeed despite challenges.

Special thanks are extended to NNCHS Principal, Dr. Christian A. Giron, for warmly accommodating the visit, along with the dedicated and able Grade 10 teachers whose support made the activity possible.

An orientation on the proper handling and issuance of traffic and other safety road regulations was conducted by P/Lt. Reynald Ramos for the local traffic enforcers of Narvacan, headed by Chief Local Traffic Enforcer Mr. Elmer R. Cabanglan. The activity aimed to further enhance road safety and promote discipline among motorists in the community.

This activity was carried out in coordination with the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Transportation and Communication members: Hon. SBM Michael Velasco, with the support of Hon. SBM Teofilo Cabreros and Hon. Benjamin dela Cuadra.

This initiative was implemented under the guidance of Hon. Mayor Dra. Edna Cabalo Sanidad, whose administration continues to prioritize the safety, discipline, and overall welfare of the people of Narvacan.

The Local Government Unit of Narvacan held a discussion today with 95 vendors from the Old Market regarding their proposed relocation to the Farmer’s Market, located in the newly developed area beside the Sports Complex.

The meeting aimed to address concerns, explain plans, and ensure a smooth and organized transition that will benefit both the vendors and the community.

Present during the discussion were the market vendors, Hon. Mayor Dra. Edna C. Sanidad, Hon. Vice Mayor Engr. Margarito A. Tejada, Commitee on Trade and Industry head, Hon. SBM Michael Velasco, Commitee Member SBM Teofilo Cabreros and Mr. Nicole Luiz B. Canlas, the Market Supervisor II, along with other concerned personnel of the Narvacan LGU.

Through open dialogue and collaboration, the LGU remains committed to promoting progress while safeguarding the welfare of our local vendors.
