The 514th Engineer Construction “Ang Gumagawa” Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army conducted a Year-end Fun Shoot together with the Battalion’s Multi-Sector Advisory Board on 09 December 2023 at 514ECB Firing Range, Campo Palico, Brgy Bilaran, Nasugbu, Batangas in connection with the upcoming Christmas Thanksgiving Celebration of the unit.

The event was organized and facilitated by 514ECB personnel and MSAB members. A total of 48 shooters participated; composed by some of unit’s personnel, Batangas West Pistoleros Incorporation and other neighboring MUPs and civilians invited. The competition consisted of five (5) divisions: Optics (carry/production optics, limited/standard optics, open/unlimited/race gun), Production, Single stack, Standard and PCC with four (4) categories: Lawman, Lady, Seniors and Regular shooter.

A combination of speed, power, and accuracy led to the competitors' victory at the end of the competition. Recreational shooting can be a useful tool for improving shooting abilities. The goal is to help someone have fun while honing and testing their shooting skills in a safe atmosphere.

LTC MARLOU P PACLIBAR, Commanding Officer, 514ECB, expressed gratitude to the personnel, MSAB Members, and other civilian stakeholders who made the event possible and successful.

The 514th Engineer Construction ang Gumagawa” Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army joins the nation in the celebration of National Human Rights Consciousness Week 2023 with the theme: “Dignidad, Kalayaan, at Katarungan para sa Lahat from 04 – 10 December 2023.

Men and Women of the unit participated in Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony and mass recitation of Panata sa Karapatang Pantao and reading of the CSAFP’s Message led by LTC JONATHAN B ESNARA, Battalion Executive and HR Officer.

Subsequent to the commemorated activity is the introduction of newly assigned officer, 1LT JHUNE M BUNAO (CE) PA and pinning of rank to the newly promoted enlisted personnel of the unit namely TSg Stephen C Lira (CE) PA, Sgt Ronaldo D Razal (OS) PA, Sgt Michael Rey R Morano (QMS) PA, Sgt Nikki Joy L Fortajada (Inf) PA, and Cpl Genesis D Vargas (Inf) PA.

LTC ESNARA welcomed and congratulated the newly assigned officer and newly promoted enlisted personnel alongside his guidance to keep on doing our job in the best way we can, for as our ranks go high the responsibilities go along with it as well.

IN PHOTOS| The 514th Engineer Construction “Ang Gumagawa” Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army participated the Inauguration of Division Administrative Coordinating Center (DACC) Modular Facilities with LTGEN ROY M GALIDO PA, Commanding General, Philippine Army as Guest of Honor and Speaker.

By all means move mountains, “Ang Gumagawa” Battalion headed by LTC MARLOU P PACLIBAR CE (GSC) PA spearheaded the construction of eleven (11) sets of modular facilities interconnected with 260 meters pathway, solar powered water refilling and laundry station, completed cistern tank for the water supply which was already connected to Manila Waters, emplaced drainage system, and prepared septic tank for the 3 sets of modular comfort rooms. The 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army with 514ECB as its implementing unit was given a tall order to accomplish the said project on 29 August 2023 and was inaugurated at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City on 01 December 2023.

The unwavering personnel of the unit worked despite the heat and rain during the construction of the inaugurated project. Eleven (11) units of modular facilities were partially hand-over to the end user with committed reassurance to deliver the remaining works with the same determination and urgency. LTC PACLIBAR quoted “sa una mukhang impossible pero kaya pala” which showed exemplary commitment of the unit to accomplish arduous orders regardless of shortness of time provided to deliver the outstanding result to the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
