Vigilance and Unity: Nasugbu Municipal Jail, PNP Lead Joint Greyhound Operation

As part of the sustained implementation of the programs of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) to uphold order and security within jail facilities, the Nasugbu Municipal Jail, under the proactive leadership of JSINSP ARIS G AQUINO, Jail Warden, conducted a Joint Greyhound Operation in coordination with personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) on June 3, 2026.

During the operation, jail and police personnel conducted systematic body searches of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and performed thorough inspections of cell areas and personal belongings. The activity was carried out with strict adherence to established protocols and with full respect for the rights and dignity of the PDLs.

The Joint Greyhound Operation forms part of the BJMP’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and other prohibited items, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining a safe, orderly, and drug-free environment within the facility.

BJMP NHQ and ICRC Conduct Climate Change Risk Assessment and Stakeholder Interviews at Nasugbu Municipal Jail

The Nasugbu Municipal Jail, under the proactive and service-oriented leadership of JSINSP ARIS G AQUINO, welcomed representatives from the BJMP National Headquarters (NHQ) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on June 3, 2026. The activity formed part of the ongoing Training of Trainers on Prisoners of Climate Change, which included the conduct of a climate change risk assessment and stakeholder interviews within the facility.

The BJMP NHQ delegation was led by JSSUPT MANUEL CHAN, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Welfare and Development, together with JSUPT MARIA IGNACIA IBARLIN CO**HA, JSUPT CASSIUS VERBO, and other NHQ personnel participating in the training. The ICRC team was headed by Mr. Mario Zuazua Mencia, Program Manager, along with other representatives. The joint team conducted a facility risk assessment and engaged jail personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) as key stakeholders.

The activity aimed to assess climate-related risks and strengthen institutional preparedness and response mechanisms within detention facilities. It also served as a platform for coordination and exchange of technical insights on climate resilience in jail management. The BJMP and ICRC reaffirmed their commitment to safe, humane, and climate-adaptive detention operations through sustained capacity-building initiatives.

Nasugbu Municipal Jail Joins Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Balok-Balok Elementary School

The Nasugbu Municipal Jail, under the dynamic and service-driven leadership of JSINSP ARIS G AQUINO, actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Balok-Balok Elementary School.

Anchored on the program theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman”, the activity was conducted in strong collaboration with school teachers, parents, and students, alongside barangay officials, personnel of the jail unit, and the jail officer 1 trainees undergoing Jail Immersion Program (JIP).

The initiative underscored a shared commitment to bayanihan and public service by helping ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment in preparation for the opening of classes.

Computer and Information Technology Office – Nasugbu Conducts Cyber Security and Threat Awareness Lecture at the Nasugbu Municipal Jail

The Nasugbu Municipal Jail, under the proactive leadership of JSINSP ARIS G. AQUINO, welcomed personnel from the Computer and Information Technology Office – Nasugbu for the conduct of a Cyber Security and Threat Awareness Lecture on May 29, 2026.

The activity was facilitated by Mr. Rovick Macalindong together with two (2) other male civilian employees from the Computer and Information Technology Office – Nasugbu and attended by on-duty personnel of the facility.

The lecture aimed to equip and enhance the knowledge and skills of personnel regarding cyber security and threat awareness. Discussions focused on protecting computers, networks, systems, and sensitive information from cyber-attacks, unauthorized access, theft, and damage. The activity likewise emphasized the importance of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital information while promoting the safe and responsible use of technology.

Through this initiative, the facility continues to strengthen the awareness and preparedness of personnel against emerging cyber threats and supports the Bureau’s commitment to professionalism, safety, and operational security.

NJMPTI Conducts Jail Immersion Program Inspection and Monitoring at Nasugbu Municipal Jail

The Nasugbu Municipal Jail, under the proactive leadership of JSINSP ARIS G AQUINO, welcomed personnel from the National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI) for the conduct of Jail Immersion Program Inspection and Monitoring for the Jail Basic Recruit Course (JBRC) Class 2026-03 today, May 29, 2026.

The inspection and monitoring activity was conducted by SJO1 Edison Mlateo, JO3 Yolanda Olidana, and Christiannie Ann A Nemis, to assess the implementation of the immersion program and evaluate the performance, discipline, and learning experiences of the trainees assigned at the facility.

The activity also aimed to ensure that the program is being implemented in accordance with established training standards and objectives, while providing guidance and recommendations to further enhance the practical learning and development of future jail officers.

Through this initiative, the Nasugbu Municipal Jail continues to uphold the Bureau’s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and excellence in public service by supporting the holistic training and formation of competent and service-oriented personnel.
