THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! DAY 4 IS COMPLETE!

The intensity just went up a notch. For Day 4 of our SK Sabang Kids Summer Clinic, our young athletes finally put their hard-earned skills to the test in scrimmage and game simulations.

It wasn't just about scoring today; it was about seeing the footwork, ball handling, and defense we’ve practiced all week come together in live action. Watching the kids strategize and cheer for their teammates shows that they are learning the true heart of the game.

HALFWAY MARK! DAY 3 IS IN THE BOOKS!

We are officially over the hump, day 3 of the SK Sabang Kids Summer Clinic was all about putting it all together. From defensive sliding to fast-break drills, our young athletes are showing incredible improvement.

It is heartwarming to see the Sabang Sports Complex filled with such positive energy every afternoon. Our specialized trainer is pushing the kids to work as a team, and the chemistry on the court is starting to shine.

The sweat is real, but the smiles are even bigger! Let’s keep this fire burning for the final two days of Basketball Week!

Day 2 of our SK Sabang Summer Clinic was all about focus and fun.

Our trainees are working hard, learning from the best, and most importantly, making new friends on the court. Watching them execute the drills we learned yesterday with more confidence today is what this program is all about.

DAY 1 IN THE BOOKS!

What a fantastic start to our SK Sabang Kids Summer Clinic! Today, the Sabang Sports Complex was filled with energy, laughter, and the sound of future champions in the making.

Our young athletes showed up ready to learn. Under the guidance of our equipped trainer Allen Rey Gler, they dove straight into the fundamentals, focusing on footwork, ball handling, and the importance of teamwork. We are so proud of the grit and enthusiasm shown by every single participant today.

Thank you to the parents and guardians for bringing your children and supporting this initiative. Day 1 was a huge success, and we’re just getting started.

See you all tomorrow, same time, same place!

​To our young Sabangeño athletes! Are you ready to make this summer unforgettable? Your SK Council is officially launching our 𝐊𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐂 starting this week!

​We are beginning with Basketball Week (MAY 11–15) at the Sabang Sports Complex.

​To give our youth the best experience, we have invited an equipped and specialized trainer to share expert knowledge, professional drills, and the secrets of the game. Whether you are a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this clinic is for you!

​REMINDERS FOR TRAINEES:
Where: Sabang Sports Complex (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Required Attire: To ensure safety and proper movement on the court, all participants must wear SPORTS ATTIRE (Jersey or comfortable T-shirt, athletic shorts, and rubber shoes).
Don't forget to bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated!

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: UPDATES ON SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR SABANG FIESTA 2026

TO THE YOUTH AND RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY SABANG:

As we approach the vibrant celebration of the Sabang Fiesta 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Sabang remains committed to fostering a spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and inclusive participation among our youth.

After careful deliberation and planning, we wish to officially announce that there will be no Inter-Barangay Basketball League /Interzone Basketball League for this year’s fiesta celebration.

We understand that basketball has long been a staple of our festivities; however, the SK Council has decided to take a more inclusive approach to youth development. We want to emphasize that the budget allotted for sports remains fully intact. Instead of focusing our resources on a single event, the fund will be utilized for a wider variety of sports and youth activities that will take place on or before the Fiesta Day.

We are currently finalizing a line-up of exciting activities that will showcase the diverse talents of Sabang’s youth. We invite everyone to stay tuned for the official schedule and guidelines for these upcoming events.

We ask for your kind understanding and support as we strive to make this year’s fiesta a celebration that truly represents and engages every young member of our barangay.

Let us celebrate our fiesta with the same energy, passion, and unity that Sabang is known for!

𝗦𝗞 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗡𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗟, 𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗡 — To strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure that medical assistance is within reach of every resident, the Sangguniang Kabataan Sabang spearheaded the distribution of comprehensive first aid and hygiene kits to the local health center.

The project, funded through a ₱10,000 allocation, was specifically designed to decentralize medical resources, making healthcare more accessible per zone. Each of the five kits contains essential medical-grade supplies, including povidone-iodine, sterile gauze, digital thermometers, and blood pressure monitoring tools, along with hygiene essentials for infection control.

To further assist residents in times of need, SK Sabang and the Barangay Health Center have released the updated directory of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) assigned to each zone.

SK Sabang Joins Provincial Tree-Planting Drive in Villa Consuelo

​NAVAL, Biliran — The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Sabang actively participated in the Alima sa Kinaiyahan Tree-Planting program held in Villa Consuelo, Naval, on Friday.

​The initiative, spearheaded by the provincial government, aims to bolster reforestation efforts and promote environmental stewardship across the province. SK officials and local volunteers spent the morning planting native tree seedlings in the designated area to help restore local forest cover and protect the watershed.

​The activity concluded with a commitment from the youth leaders to monitor the growth of the saplings and continue advocating for sustainable practices within the community.

𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘯 - The recently held Tindog, Tingog, Tabang Christmas Camp officially drew to a successful close, last December 26-28, 2025 at Talustusan Elementary School, Talustusan, Naval, Biliran. Leaving a lasting impact on youth participants from Barangay Sabang, Talustusan and Lico. The event served as a platform to foster resilience, empowerment, and the spirit of generosity during the holiday season.

The camp was centered on three core pillars: 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙜 (Standing firm in resilience), 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙜 (Raising voices for advocacy), and 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜 (Extending a helping hand to those in need).

Event Highlight Day 3: Awarding Ceremonies

According to the event organizers, the goal of the camp was to transform the energy of the youth into actionable service. "This camp is more than just a gathering; it is a movement to remind everyone that even in difficult times, we can stand together, speak up for what is right, and help one another," one of the lead coordinators shared during the closing ceremony.

The participants expressed their gratitude for the experience, noting that the friendships formed and lessons learned have inspired them to be more involved in their respective barangays. As the campfires were extinguished, the message remained clear: the conclusion of the Christmas Camp is merely the beginning of a lifelong commitment to community building and service.
