Brgy. Lucsoon Naval, Biliran joins the whole country in the celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2024 with the theme "The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Saving Lives".

The celebration aims to promote a drug-free society and raise awareness about the negative impacts of drug abuse.

The Evacuation Simulation Exercise presented different scenarios such as flood, landslide and fire at Brgy Lucsoon. This SIMEX will help prepare the community for any disasters and minimize future risks.

Also this SIMEX will ensure that local responders are well prepared and practiced in executing evacuation procedures efficiently and safely during emergencies.

Americares Philippines is an NGO that serves as an active partner in disaster preparedness. Today's SIMEX is a culmination of all trainings provided by Americares in preparing local responders during calamities.

The activitity was evaluated and observed by the PDRRMO, Mr. Sofronio Dacillo Jr, Representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection - Provincial Office, Representatives from Provincial Health Office, and PIA-Biliran.

Today, the dedicated barangay officials of Lucsoon rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty for the Annual Community Development Day!

Under the vibrant morning sun, they led a community-wide clean-up drive, tackling streets and waterways with infectious enthusiasm. ️️️

From the energetic Barangay Captain down to the hardworking council members, and SK officials, everyone played their part in making Lucsoon a cleaner, brighter place.✨

The spirit of camaraderie and bayanihan was truly inspiring! Residents young and old joined in, filling the day with laughter, teamwork, and a shared sense of accomplishment.

This is just the beginning! Lucsoon is committed to sustainable development and environmental awareness, and today's clean-up drive was a vital step in the right direction. ♻️💚
