1. Residente sa Davao de Oro
2. Graduating Senior High School student;
3. Graduate na ug Senior High School apan wala pa naka-college;
4. Nag college na apan naka undang;
5. Kasamtangang 1st year college student;
6. Kasamtangang 2nd year college student nga nagkuha ug 5-year nga kurso, o
7. Walay igsoon nga 1st year-3rd year existing DdOSP scholar.

Ang lokal nga panggamhanan sa lungsod sa New Bataan pinaagi sa Gender and Development (GAD) Program, naglunsad og usa ka helpline nga abre 24 oras alang sa mga residente nga nag-atubang og emosyonal, o sikolohikal nga mga problema. Andam ang among mga sinanay nga counselors nga maminaw kanimo.

Bisan pa man emosyonal nga kalisod, dili maayong pagbati, o gusto lang nimo ug kaistorya o ipagawas ang imong bug-at nga pagbati, naghatag kami og luwas nga luna, aktibong pagpaminaw, mga himan sa pag tabang ug pag-atubang sa maong mga suliran. Pwede usab ninyong gamiton ang maong numero sa pag report ug mga kaso sa pag pang-abuso.

The discussion on the youth development agenda continued right after the courtesy call to the Local Chief Executive (LCE), marking the second and final part of a fruitful two-day engagement.

Mr. Mayjee de la Cruz, RSW, the National Youth Commission (NYC) Area Officer for Region XI and BARMM, delivered insightful inputs on Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) policies, recent issuances, and relevant updates. His session was attended by members of the SK Municipal Federation of Pantukan and Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) from across Davao de Oro. The discussion placed emphasis on SK planning, budgeting, and policy implementation, highlighting the role of youth leaders and development workers in aligning with national directives. The session concluded with words of affirmation from NYC Davao, recognizing the collective efforts of the youth development workers in complying with key mandates and upholding their duties with excellence.

With continued guidance and mentorship, the momentum carried on the next day as the Local Youth Development Officers convened in a meeting chaired by Alexis H. Micutuan (Youth Development Officer IV). The meeting covered significant agenda items including the proposed Lingo ng Kabataan series of activities, updates on the SK Functionality Assessment, concerns on the Child Protection Policy (CPP), and other pressing matters relating to youth development programming.

The two-day activity ran smoothly and productively, thanks to the unwavering commitment of the invited speakers, participants, and organizers. Most importantly, this was made possible through the full support and facilitation of the Local Government Unit of Pantukan. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Oliver D. Ceniza, as well as to Hon. Hernan O. Bucoy and Ms. Judy Ann S. Ariate for the warm hospitality and generous assistance.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Governor Kap Raul Mabanglo for allowing this important convergence to take place. The event not only strengthened inter-agency collaboration but also nurtured a culture of synergy among youth development workers in the province—committed to upholding excellence and championing responsive public service for the youth of Davao de Oro.

To end, the PSWDO–Youth Development Division will be visiting the remaining municipalities of the province, bringing with them a renewed drive to promote collaborative planning, responsive programming, and meaningful youth engagement in every local community.

As part of its continuing efforts to build strong partnerships with local government units in support of youth development, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office - Youth Development Division (PSWDO-YDD) conducted a courtesy call to the Municipal Local Government of Pantukan, led by Hon. Mayor Oliver D. Ceniza, early today, July 17, 2025.

The activity aimed to reinforce collaboration between the provincial office and the Municipality of Pantukan in advancing youth programs and policies, while also recognizing the pivotal role of local leadership in ensuring the effective implementation of youth initiatives on the ground.

Further, Mayor Ceniza warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his firm commitment to supporting youth-related endeavors, not only within Pantukan but across the entire province of Davao de Oro. “Makasiguro mo sa akong suporta sa kabatan-onan dili lang diri sa munisipyo, pero hantud sa probinsya.”, the mayor said during his message.

The courtesy call was participated in by key youth stakeholders including the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Pantukan and Municipal Youth Development Council (MYDC) members headed by Hon. Hernan Bucoy, and Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) from all 11 municipalities of the province. Their presence highlighted the growing unity and coordination among local youth development workers.

Also in attendance was Mr. Mayjee de la Cruz, RSW — Area Officer for Region XI and BARMM from the National Youth Commission (NYC), together with his team, underscoring national-level support for the ongoing provincial initiatives.

The courtesy call is part of the PSWDO-YDD’s broader efforts to build stronger inter-LGU networks and to ensure that programs under the Youth Development Agenda of the Province are responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the realities and needs of the youth in different municipalities.

Finally, this engagement with the Pantukan LGU reflects the continuing commitment of the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro to invest in its youth—through programs that are grounded in collaboration, participation, and good local governance.

We are proud to announce that the Municipality of New Bataan has successfully conducted the Sangguniang Kabataan Performance and Functionality Assessment (SKPFA)!

This assessment is in line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10742, an act that strengthens the Sangguniang Kabataan, institutionalizes reforms, and ensures the effective delivery of youth development programs and services.

RA 10742 highlights the importance of:
✅ Strengthening SK councils through capacity-building
✅ Mandating youth participation in governance
✅ Ensuring transparency and accountability in fund utilization
✅ Promoting meaningful youth involvement in nation-building
