The Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office (DTI Aklan), through Negosyo Center New Washington, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of New Washington headed by Hon. Atty. Shimonette P. Francisco and the Barangay Council of Guinbaliwan headed by Hon. Leah Q. Ramirez, conducted a Negosyo Center Information Caravan for the MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs of Barangay Guinbaliwan, New Washington, Aklan on May 28, 2026.

The activity officially opened with a welcome message from Hon. Leah Q. Ramirez, followed by the inspirational message of the Municipal Mayor of New Washington, delivered on his behalf by Ms. Leda Regalado, and message of inspiration from Ms. Pamela S. Roldan, STIDS.

The partner agency likewise presented their programs and services. These included the Small Business Corporation, represented by Ms. Geralyn V. Gatlabayan.

Meanwhile, Ms. Pamela S. Roldan, STIDS, discussed Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and other Fair Trade Laws and Ms. Queena Althea N. Villorente-Aguirre, NC TIDA of NC Banga, provided an overview of the DTI and Negosyo Center (NC) programs and services.

To formally close the program, Ms. May Ann S. Gregorio, SBC-I of NC Altavas, conveyed gratitude to the speakers, participants, and partner agencies for the successful conduct of the activity.

The NC-IC is a program of the DTI that aims to increase public awareness of the services offered by the DTI through Negosyo Centers and partner agencies, identify MSMEs operating within the barangay, and provide business development assistance and services in the community.

Prime Bread & Butter Bakeshop, Corp. and Sunshine Breadmart proudly participated in the recently-concluded IFEX Philippines 2026 held last May 21–23 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Metro Manila! 🇵🇭 They were featured in the Department of Agriculture - Region VI's pavilion which highlighted the local flavors of the region and its rich potential for the global stage.

With the theme, "Tropical Flavors for the World," they have proudly showcased the rich flavors and culture of Aklan by featuring various breads, pastries, and other signature pasalubong items, not only to local guests but also to institutional buyers.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026, declaring May 27 as a Regular Holiday in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) throughout the country, this is to inform the public that the DTI Aklan Provincial Office and Negosyo Centers will be CLOSED on WEDNESDAY, May 27, 2026.

Regular office operations will resume on THURSDAY, May 28, 2026.
