SENIORITY is PRIVILEGE
and RESPECT is EARNED
A tradition that highly observed in the AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP, and other uniform personnel the basis of RHIP principle.
Seniority if understood in a positive thought will lead to a positive output, but if it is understood in a negative thought, it will lead to a negative output. We are all seniors to our junior but we are also junior to our seniors.
There are no permanent rank and permanent designation on this land. So what is seniority if it is not understood well by many.
Seniority is not a passport nor a license to humiliate or insult a junior. It is not an excuse not to perform your duty and above all it is not a reason to abuse authority.
Seniority has its own twin of responsibility, to perform according to your rank and to stand like your rank. The more you level up, your thoughts, discipline, attitude and respect to others should also level up.
Respect each other and you will be respected more, people have emotions too kahit pang sabihin mo na taong gobyerno yan. Whether you are a senior or a junior, low ranking o high ranking officer we should act as a role model not a morale destroyer.
Use seniority to influence others, not to disappoint or discourage juniors instead bring out the best in them. After all, seniors are nothing if there are no juniors supporting below them.
