β€œWe will continue conducting National ID mobile registration activities across the City of Davao and Davao del Sur, bringing services directly to communities so access to the National Identification System remains within reach, without the need to travel far, especially for persons with mobility difficulties,” pagpasabot ni Batucan.

| MOA Signing Between PSA and City Government of Digos for eCRVS Implementation

In response to the National Government's thrust towards digitalizing local government services and transactions, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), through PSA Davao del Sur Provincial Statistical Office (PSO), and the City Government of Digos officially entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (eCRVS) System.

The eCRVS System is a major innovation of the PSA aimed at transforming civil registration processes through digital technology, making services faster, more reliable, secure, and accessible to the public. The system is designed to modernize civil registration, improve data quality and interoperability, and strengthen the country’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System.

As one of the identified pilot areas under Phase 1, the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) of Digos will participate in the implementation and assessment of the eCRVS System. This initiative will support the digitalization of birth and death registration processes.

Under the agreement, the CCRO of Digos will be granted access to the eCRVS web application, enabling a more secure, efficient, and streamlined registration of vital events such as births, marriages, and deaths.

The Philippine Statistics Authority Davao del Sur Provincial Statistical Office joins the nation in observing National Flag Days, a period dedicated to honoring the Philippine flag as a representation of our nation's history, independence, and collective identity.

The observance traces its beginnings to May 28, 1898, when the Philippine flag was first unfurled in victory during the Battle of Alapan in Cavite. Today, it continues to serve as a reminder of the courage and sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom and the responsibility of every Filipino to uphold the values they stood for.

As we approach the celebration of Philippine Independence Day, let us proudly display our national flag and reflect on the ideals of patriotism, unity, and service that bind us together as one nation.

May the Philippine flag continue to inspire hope, strengthen our sense of nationhood, and remind us of our shared commitment to building a better future for all Filipinos.
