Gordon College Gordon College is a local higher education institution that operates under the
City Government of Olongapo.

Vision
By 2025, the College envisions to be a premier local institution of higher
learning in Region 3 committed to the holistic development of the human person and
society. Mission
To produce well-trained, skilled, dynamic, and competitive individuals
imbued with values and attitudes responsive to the changing needs of the local,
national and global communities. Goals
Gordon College shall
• Provide opportunities that will enable individuals to acquire a high level of
professional, technical and vocational courses of studies.
• Develop innovative programs, projects, and models of practice by
undertaking functional and relevant research studies.
• Promote community development through relevant extension programs.
• Provide opportunities for employability and entrepreneurship of graduates

Objectives
• To provide degree programs which are needed by the local, national and
global communities within the standards set by Commission on Higher
Education (CHED);
• To continuously evaluate educational programs to ensure high standard,
quality and relevance in delivery of the intended outcomes;
• To develop research in different disciplines to improve existing knowledge
and practices;
• To provide extension programs to sustain the greater impact of the college
to the community;
• To integrate moral principles/ standards in the curriculum to strengthen the
moral responsibilities of the lifelong learners;
• To strengthen the institution-industry collaboration/partnership to ensure
graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship;
• To increase the national passing percentage for board courses and national
qualification.

Gordon College marked its presence at the opening ceremony of the 15th Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (LCUAA) National Games on October 24, 2026, hosted by the University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP). The national sports event will run through October 30, 2026.

The delegation was led by Gordon College President, Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano, together with Vice President for Student Welfare and Services, Lovelyn P. Ceralde; Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Erlinda C. Abarintos; Dean of the College of Allied Health Studies, Dr. Victor C. Quimen Jr.; and Dean of the College of Computer Studies, Prof. Ronnie D. Luy; Officer-in-Charge of the Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Joseph Angelo B. Pusing, coaches, and student-athletes representing the institution.

Calling all Gordon College Class of 2025 Graduates!

Gordon College invites all its 2025 graduates to participate in the Gordon College Graduate Tracer Study (GTS) 2025, spearheaded by the Institutional Planning, Development, and External Affairs (IPDEA), together with the Research Development and Community Extension Services (RDCES) Unit.

Through this study, we hope to learn more about your employment experiences and journey after graduation. Your responses will help the College improve its academic programs, strengthen its services, and make informed, data-driven decisions for institutional development.

Gordon College (GC) took part in the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Consumer Welfare Month (CWM) Provincial Culminating Activity on October 22, 2026, at the Activity Center of SM City Olongapo Central, Olongapo City, with the theme, “Safe Products, Confident Consumers.”

College President, Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting Gordon College’s commitment to technological innovation and showcasing the various academic opportunities and programs the college offers to shape future-ready leaders.

Prof. Ronnie D. Luy, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS), also introduced the college’s academic programs and presented Project METRO (Monitoring and Enforcement Tracking Resource Online) through an audio-visual presentation (AVP). Project METRO is a capstone project developed by BS Information Technology (BSIT) students in partnership with DTI Zambales. It is a digital system designed to help improve market inspections, monitor product compliance, and support consumer protection. It also provides a platform where consumers can access important information and file complaints..

Through this participation, Gordon College continues to strengthen its commitment to innovation, community engagement, and the development of future-ready students who can contribute to technological advancement and public service.

GORDON COLLEGE EARNS RECOGNITION IN THE APPLIED EDU PUBLIC UNIVERSITY RANKING ASEAN 2027

Gordon College has earned a place in the 141–150 rank band of the AppliedEdu Public University Ranking ASEAN 2027, marking its first participation in the regional ranking, which features public universities from eight ASEAN countries.

Conducted by Singapore-based education technology company AppliedEdu (formerly AppliedHE), the ranking assesses higher education institutions across key areas, including teaching and learning, graduate employability, research, institutional reputation, community engagement, and internationalization.

For Gordon College, this recognition provides an opportunity to assess its institutional performance and identify areas for continued improvement. As a local public college serving Olongapo City and neighboring communities, Gordon College remains committed to providing quality education, strengthening its academic programs, and expanding its regional engagement.

Gordon College participated in the Local (LC) Visioning Summit on October 20, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna. The event intended to bring together Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) from the National Capital Region (NCR) and Luzon to discuss common goals and future directions for local higher education institutions.

Representing Gordon College were Dr. Imelda D. P. Soriano, College President; Dr. Kristin Joy A. Mendoza, Vice President; and Dr. Erlinda Casela-Abarintos, Vice President for Administration and Finance.

The summit, organized by the University the Philippines Open University (UPOU), is part of the project "LCLEAD: Local Colleges for Lifelong Education, Access, and Development," which is being implemented under the Commission on Higher Education's (CHED) HUSAY Program. The initiative helps local colleges grow by promoting lifelong learning, increasing educational access, and strengthening institutional capabilities.

Gordon College’s participation in the summit provides an opportunity to connect with other local colleges, share ideas, and discuss ways to improve local higher education. Through this activity, the College hopes to learn new approaches that can help strengthen its programs and provide better quality education to its students.
