MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued Labor Advisory No. 18, Series of 2026, setting the wage guidelines for the upcoming November holidays.

ZAMBALES — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Zambales Field Office profiled 255 DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) beneficiaries from workers’ associations across the nine municipalities of the 2nd District of Zambales from October 5–7, 2026.

The three-day activity assessed the beneficiaries’ livelihood needs, capacities, and proposed enterprises to strengthen and sustain their community-based livelihood projects.

Four priority livelihood ventures were identified: rice retailing, chicken egg laying, duck farming, and dried fish processing, aimed at promoting income generation, self-employment, and local economic growth.

The profiling forms part of DOLE’s continuing efforts to complement livelihood assistance with capacity-building and entrepreneurship development. Through interventions such as the Entrepreneur Development Training, beneficiaries gain practical knowledge and skills to effectively manage and sustain their enterprises.

Under the leadership of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, the Department continues to strengthen its livelihood programs and empower workers and beneficiaries toward sustainable income and resilient community enterprises.

Patuloy na kumikilos ang DOLE upang palawakin ang access ng mga Pilipino sa trabaho at suportahan ang paglikha ng mas produktibo, inklusibo, matatag, at future-ready na oportunidad sa trabaho.

Kabilang dito ang TRABAHO AGAD Job Fair, sa pangunguna ni DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, na naglalapit sa mga jobseeker at employer at nagbibigay ng mas mabilis na daan tungo sa agarang trabaho at kabuhayan.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Secretary Francis N. Tolentino reaffirmed the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) commitment to addressing persistent employment challenges and expanding access to sustainable work opportunities, even as the August 2026 Labor Force Survey showed encouraging gains in the country’s labor market.

The number of employed Filipinos reached 49.79 million in August 2026, increasing by 574,000 from July, as the country’s labor market showed signs of improvement, according to the latest Labor Force Survey released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
