PILANDOK MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA EAST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON.

The Southwest Monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
• Today (31 August): Most of the country.

Location of Eye/Center
The center of Tropical Depression PILANDOK was estimated based on all available data at 1,060 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (22.0 °N, 132.0 °E )

Movement
Moving Northwestward at 10 km/h

Strength
Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h

POST-ASSESSMENT EMERGENCY MEETING | HABAGAT

The Olongapo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) conducted a Post-Assessment Emergency Meeting regarding the effects and impacts of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The meeting focused on assessing the situation, reviewing the response operations conducted, identifying affected areas and communities, and discussing the necessary actions and interventions to further strengthen disaster preparedness and response.
