In accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 63, s. 1992, the month of October is declared as Local Government Month, the second week as Local Government Week, and October 10 as Local Government Day in commemoration of the historic enactment of the Local Government Code of 1991.

From barangays to provinces, cities, and municipalities, our local government units continue to turn policies into action, respond to the needs of our people, and build safer, more inclusive, and resilient communities.

Now on its 35th year, the Local Government Code continues to serve as the foundation of local autonomy and empowerment giving voice to local leaders and communities in shaping governance that truly responds to the needs of the people.

May we continue to strengthen good governance, meaningful participation, and responsive public service because strong local governments build stronger communities. ๐Ÿค

KALAHI CIDSS Community Empowerment Facilitator (CEF) Sir Luiz Marcial Sahagun and Municipal Community Empowerment Facilitator MCEF Officers, conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Participatory Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (PRVA) together with Brgy Council, BNS, BHW, BPW and representatives from different sectors in the community. The activity aimed to identify the communityโ€™s needs, concerns, risks, and vulnerabilities and to gather inputs that will help in planning appropriate programs and projects for the barangay.
