Our monthly SBF-wide cleanup activity is back, and this month, we’re doing it on a Thursday! 🗓️

🌿 KALINISAN, KALIKASAN, AT KULTURA: Sama-samang Aksyon para sa Pastolan!

Ngayong October 22, 2026, isinagawa natin ang Pastolan Community Cleanup and Waste Segregation Orientation katuwang ang TAAPI, Pastolan Community, at SBMA Ecology Center.

Higit pa sa simpleng paglilinis ang ating ginawa ngayong araw. Ang wastong paghihiwalay at pagtatapon ng basura ay bahagi ng ating pananagutan sa kalikasan at sa susunod na henerasyon.

Bilang paggunita rin sa Indigenous Peoples Month, kinikilala natin ang mahalagang papel ng ating mga kapatid na Ayta sa pangangalaga ng kagubatan, ilog, at likas-yaman ng Subic Bay Freeport.

Ang tunay na pagbabago ay hindi nagtatapos pagkatapos ng cleanup. Nagsisimula ito sa ating sariling tahanan at sa araw-araw nating gawain.

♻️ Mag-segregate ng basura.
🌱 Bawasan ang ating itinatapon.
🌳 Pangalagaan ang kagubatan at ilog.
🤝 Makiisa at maging bahagi ng solusyon.

Patuloy nating isabuhay ang simpleng prinsipyo: “Tapat Ko, Linis Ko, Pagagandahin Ko.”

Kapag sama-sama ang komunidad, pamahalaan, at ating mga katuwang, kaya nating bumuo ng mas malinis, mas luntian, at mas matatag na Pastolan para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Ang kalikasan ay ating tahanan—ang pangangalaga rito ay responsibilidad nating lahat. 🌏💚

Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumama sa Pamulaklakin River and Forest Cleanup! 🌿💧

On October 21, 2026, we came together to take care of one of Subic Bay’s most cherished natural spaces. To everyone who gave their time, energy, and hands to the cleanup, thank you. Every piece of trash removed helps protect our river, our forest, and the wildlife that depends on them.

A special thank you to the Tribong Ayta Ambala ng Pastolan Inc. (TAAPI) for their partnership and for being steadfast stewards of this land. Their knowledge and commitment to the forest remind us that conservation works best when it is done together with the communities who call these places home.

Our work doesn’t end here. Let’s keep caring for our rivers and forests, one cleanup at a time. 🌳

Maraming salamat po, Laguna State Polytechnic University Siniloan Campus! 🌱💚

On October 20, 2026, we were delighted to welcome the Laguna State Polytechnic University Siniloan Campus to the Subic Bay Mangrove Nursery! Our visitors didn’t just tour the site. They rolled up their sleeves and helped pot 50 mangrove propagules collected right here in Subic Bay.

Every seedling potted today is a small step toward healthier shorelines. Mangroves protect our coasts from storms and erosion, serve as nurseries for fish and other marine life, and store carbon that helps fight climate change.

Thank you to the faculty, staff, and students for your time, energy, and care for our coastal ecosystems. We hope the experience inspires more conservation action back home. 🌊

🌊♻️ Women Leading the Way in Cleaner Coasts! ♻️🌊

Sleeves rolled up, gloves on, and hearts set on a cleaner Subic Bay! 🧤♻️ On October 10, 2026, IHG® Hotels & Resorts – WIN (Women @ IHG Network) Philippines led a cleanup along the Boardwalk Area and the shorelines behind The Reef Hotel and Residences and Subic Grand Harbour Hotel. 88 volunteers from IHG® Hotels & Resorts – WIN (Women @ IHG Network) Philippines, BJMP, PCG, and PNP RO3 came together, proving that protecting our coasts is a shared mission.

Together, the volunteers collected a total of 87 sacks of waste (271.2 kg):

♻️ 33 sacks (96 kg) of recyclables
🗑️ 54 sacks (175.2 kg) of residuals

Every sack collected means less waste on our shores and in our waters. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and effort. This is what collaboration looks like when we protect the environment together. 💚

Got recyclables piling up at home? Today’s the day to bring them in!

Please bring clean and dry recyclables such as paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, glass, and metal cans. Rinse containers and flatten boxes where possible to make sorting easier.

Every item you bring is one less item in our landfills, waterways, and coastlines. Small actions add up to a cleaner, greener Subic Bay! 🌿

🌍 First Stakeholders’ Meeting: Climate Change Consciousness Week & 19th Recyclables Collection Event 🌍

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Ecology Center held the first stakeholders’ meeting today via Google Meet to kick off preparations for the Climate Change Consciousness Week and the 19th Recyclables Collection Event.

The meeting brought together partners and stakeholders to share ideas, align efforts, and begin planning activities that will raise awareness on climate change and promote responsible waste management in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Climate action works best when we do it together. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the discussion! 💚
