October 6, 2026 | The Local Government Unit of Opol continues to nurture a culture of continuous learning and values-driven public service through another session of the Moral Values Reorientation Program (MVRP) at the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) / Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office (LEIPO) / Negosyo Center (NC).

The session focused on the importance of Teachability or having a willing and open attitude toward learning, demonstrating a readiness to be taught, trained, corrected, and guided without reservations or hindrances.

October 3, 2026 | LGU-OPOL REPRESENT!

Employees of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Opol actively participated in the DTI Region 10 Consumer Welfare Month Fun Run 2026 held at Rio de Oro Boulevard, Cagayan de Oro City.

The activity formed part of the observance of Consumer Welfare Month, promoting greater awareness of consumer rights and responsibilities while encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle among government employees and stakeholders.

LGU-Opol headed by Municipal Mayor, Hon. Atty. Jayfrancis D. Bago JAY BAGO extends its appreciation to the Department of Trade and Industry DTI Region 10 for organizing the activity and for continuously promoting programs that uphold the rights and welfare of consumers.

October 1, 2026 | LGU OPOL JOINS LPCC RECOGNITION AND COMMITMENT CEREMONY

The Local Government Unit of Opol participated in the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) Recognition and Commitment Ceremony held as part of the Consumer Welfare Month 2026 Launching and Media Briefing at Ororama Supercenter Inc., Cogon, Cagayan de Oro City.

Representing the LGU-Opol were Price Action Officer, Mr. James Bryan Q. Donque from the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) / Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office (LEIPO) / Negosyo Center (NC), together with LPCC Focal Person, Mr. Ariel Bryan Y. Ortigoza, Municipal Economic Enterprise Officer (MEEO) -Designate.

With our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Atty. Jayfrancis D. Bago JAY BAGO, LGU-Opol remains committed to working with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and partner agencies in ensuring effective price monitoring and advancing consumer welfare in the municipality.

September 30, 2026 | Personnel of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) / Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office (LEIPO) / Negosyo Center (NC) headed by BPLO/LEIPO/NC Manager - Designate, Ms. Ethel Rae C. Reyes, MGM, participated in the Creative Industries Forum conducted via Zoom platform, joining other local government units, stakeholders, and industry partners in discussions focused on strengthening the creative economy and supporting the growth of creative enterprises.
