Keeping a jail facility safe and secure starts with committed and professional personnel.

Under the leadership of JCSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JSSUPT SOCRATES C NICART, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, and JINSP MARK LESTER P TAMPICO, Chief, Operations Division, conducted a jail inspection and Talk to Troops at Ormoc City Jail Female Dormitory.

More than an inspection, it was an opportunity to listen, connect and strengthen our commitment to serving with integrity and compassion.

Ormoc City Jail – Female Dormitory under the supervision of JCSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD Regional Director BJMP RO-VIII and leadership of SJO2 Grace D Vargas, Acting City Jail Warden, conducted Coastal Clean-up Activity at Brgy. San Antonio, Ormoc City.

The activity brought OCJ-FD personnel together in a hands-on effort to help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the coastal area. Through the simple act of collecting and properly disposing of waste, the activity served as a reminder that protecting our environment begins with small but purposeful actions.

In celebration of the International Day of Peace, Ormoc City Jail – Female Dormitory joins the global call to promote peace, understanding, compassion, and respect for human dignity.

Within the jail facility, peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is reflected in the humane treatment of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), peaceful coexistence, rehabilitation, forgiveness, and the opportunity to change for the better. Every peaceful interaction creates an environment where hope can grow, healing can begin, and positive transformation can take place.

Ormoc City Jail – Female Dormitory extends our heartfelt gratitude to Prison Fellowship International Filipinas for its generous donation of two (2) wall fans to the facility.

The donated equipment will help improve the comfort and ventilation within the facility, contributing to a more conducive environment for the Persons Deprived of Liberty as they participate in their daily activities, programs, and rehabilitation efforts.

🇵🇭💡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞.

Ormoc City Jail – Female Dormitory under the supervision of JCSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD Regional Director BJMP RO-VIII and leadership of SJO2 Grace D Vargas, Acting City Jail Warden, conducted an Information Drive on Executive Order No. 70 and the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) at Margen National High School.

The discussion provided students with an overview of Executive Order No. 70, which institutionalized a whole-of-nation approach in addressing the root causes of armed conflict and strengthening coordination among government agencies and other stakeholders in promoting peace, security, and development.

The activity also emphasized the importance of youth awareness, responsible citizenship, critical thinking, and community participation in preventing the spread of misinformation, addressing vulnerabilities to radicalization, and contributing to peaceful and resilient communities.

As part of the activity, OCJ-FD personnel also shared information on the recruitment process and qualifications for aspiring Jail Officers, providing students with an overview of the opportunities, requirements, and responsibilities involved in pursuing a career in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

PROJECT HAPSAY 85 | BRGY. GREEN VALLEY AND BRGY. ESPERANZA

Ormoc City Jail – Female Dormitory under the supervision of JCSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD Regional Director BJMP RO-VIII and leadership of SJO2 Grace D Vargas, Acting City Jail Warden, proudly participated in Project HAPSAY 85 held at Barangay Green Valley and Barangay Esperanza, Ormoc City.

The initiative aimed to help maintain clean, orderly, and accessible roads, while promoting public safety and a safer environment for motorists, pedestrians, and the community.

Through teamwork and community cooperation, we continue to support efforts that make our surroundings hapsay, limpyo, ug luwas para sa tanan. 💙🤝
