TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte | October 3, 2026 — The 804th Community Defense Center (804CDC), 8RCDG, RESCOM, Philippine Army under the leadership of Lt Colonel Joel P. Balagot GSC (FS) PA, Director, facilitated the Visit and Inspection of the 804th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (804RRIBn) at Kuta Kankabato, Tacloban City.

Led by Colonel Ronald M. Illana MNSA (Inf) PA, ADCRRA, 8ID, the activity assessed the battalion’s operational readiness, administrative compliance, and overall preparedness. Major Mario Jose M. Chico PA (Res) presented the unit’s accomplishments and ongoing activities.

The activity also featured the Pinning of Ranks for 12 promoted enlisted reservists and the awarding of Task Force Ayuda patches to participating reservists, recognizing their dedication and contributions to the Philippine Army’s mission.

The activity reaffirmed the commitment of the 804RRIBn to maintaining a ready, capable, and responsive reserve force in support of national defense.

BREAKING : DENTAL SERVICE PAYS COURTESY CALL TO 8RCDG, CONDUCTS BCMT DENTAL EXAMINATION.

CAMP JORGE DOWNES, Ormoc City | October 3, 2026 — Capt. Jocel May T. Alicog, Dental Service (DS), Camp Lukban Station Hospital (CLSH), 8ID, Philippine Army, paid a courtesy call on Col. Ramonito C. Taboy FS (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), RCPA.

Following the courtesy call, Capt. Alicog conducted a dental examination for BCMT CL 01-2026 trainees at the 802nd Infantry Brigade, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.

The activity aimed to assess the trainees’ dental health and support their overall fitness and readiness throughout the training.

LOOK : 8RCDG PERSONNEL JOIN 36TH AFP CODE OF CONDUCT ANNIVERSARY FLAG RAISING

CAMP JORGE DOWNES, Ormoc City | October 5, 2026 — Personnel of the 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG) and BCMT CL 01-2026, led by Capt. Kamsa S. Kamal (Art) PA, Reserve Public Affairs Officer, joined the simultaneous Monday Flag Raising Ceremony hosted by the 802nd Infantry Brigade, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.

The ceremony marked the 36th Anniversary of the AFP Code of Conduct, reaffirming the military’s commitment to integrity, discipline, professionalism, and ethical service.

The program featured the reading of the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) Message, the awarding of the Military Merit Medal (MMM) to six deserving personnel from the 11th Scout Ranger Company, 4th Scout Ranger Battalion, and the Command Guidance delivered by Brig. Gen. Pompeyo Jason M. Almagro PA, Commander of the 802nd Infantry Brigade.

The observance underscored that military service demands more than competence and readiness—it calls for honor, integrity, discipline, and steadfast dedication to duty.

IN ACTION : 8RCDG JOINS CDRRMC SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING ON EL NIÑO PREPAREDNESS

ORMOC CITY, Leyte | 03 October 2026 — Cpt Kamsa S. Kamal (Art) PA, Reserve Public Affairs Officer of the 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), attended the Special Council Meeting of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) at the DepEd Ormoc Division, presided over by Mr. Albert Patrick B. Deen, Executive Assistant IV.

The meeting focused on El Niño forecasts and risk zones, drought vulnerability, health risks, and inter-agency response measures.

The participation of 8RCDG highlights the Philippine Army’s commitment to inter-agency coordination, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR).

IN ACTION : PAFCPIC CONDUCTS INFORMATION DRIVE FOR 8RCDG PERSONNEL

CAMP JORGE DOWNES, Ormoc City, Leyte — October 2, 2026. — Personnel from the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC), led by Mr. Philip N. Dominique, Branch Manager from Tacloban City, conducted an Information and Dissemination Drive for the organic and reservist personnel of the 8th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army (8RCDG, RCPA) at the 8RCDG Conference Room and Magilas Hall.

The activity focused on PAFCPIC’s programs, services, and financial assistance available to Philippine Army personnel and members of the Reserve Force.

The engagement provided participants with essential information to help them better understand the cooperative’s services and make informed financial decisions.

The activity highlights the continuing partnership between the Philippine Army and PAFCPIC in promoting the financial welfare of soldiers and reservists.
