๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: Under the leadership of ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, Commander of Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas and as part of Pre-anniversary Activities, the Coast Guard Station Western Leyte together with Coast Guard Sub-Station Ormoc, OPCON personnel, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Ormoc, 802nd Infantry Brigade Philippine Army, and the 1102nd, 1103rd, and 1105th Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadrons, conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive at Ormoc City Plaza, Ormoc City, Leyte.
The activity brought together uniformed personnel, partner organizations, and volunteers in a collective effort to promote environmental awareness and protect the coastal and riverine ecosystems of Western Leyte. Through their concerted efforts, a total of 250 sacks of garbage were successfully collected from the area.
The successful conduct of the activity underscores the importance of unity and inter-agency cooperation in addressing environmental concerns. It also reflects the Philippine Coast Guardโs continuing commitment to environmental protection, community service, and the preservation of marine and river ecosystems.
