The 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐀𝐘𝐎), a specialized unit in firefighting and emergency response under 𝑶𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒄 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔, convened their First General Assembly in the CDRRMO Function Hall last May 31, 2022, they discussed plans to improve their involvement in the firefighting service including a workshop for the formulation of their action plan for this year.

Calling all youth! Ormoc Junior Fire Fighters are offering 𝟭𝟬 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 for interested and qualified youth on the upcoming 𝟰-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 focusing on Fire Volunteer Training! The 4-day camp is set to happen this 3rd week of May 2021 at 802nd Infantry Brigade.

Applicants will undergo briefing and interview on April 26 in preparation for the 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗣𝗙𝗩𝗧) on May 01. This year's 𝗦𝗘𝗬𝗖 𝟰.𝟬 aims to certify 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗝𝗙𝗙 who will augment the operations of the Bureau of Fire Protection - Ormoc City.

The Ormoc Junior Fire Fighters (OJFF), successfully held their 3rd City DRRM Youth Camp and Skills Enhancement Youth Camp last November 26-29, 2020.

The camp was attended by both old and new members of the organization and was aimed to fully capacitate fire fighters among the youth. The activities done include; Basic First-aid/Basic Life Support (CPR & AED), Basic Fire Safety and Fire Fighting, Standard and Australian Rappelling, Health Emergency Medical Services, and Mass Casualty Incident. The intensity of the camp was significantly higher in comparison to the previous ones. This was done so to fully equip each member with a practical set of skills that can be utilised during emergencies and life-threatening situations.

The OJFF hopes that the said camp will bring forth not just a sense of accomplishment, but also a sense of responsibility from each member. For them to actively help in promoting fire safety awareness and disaster resiliency to the public through their own innovative efforts, and to gain the support of the general populace towards the said endeavour.

For a productive and youthful Ormoc, and for a disaster-resilient youth!

PS: Health and Safety protocols were properly observed during the whole duration of the camp.

1st Place People's Choice Award

Ormoc Junior Fire Fighters bagged one of the three awards given for the "Youth Fair" which was held last August 9, 2020. The culmination/awarding ceremony for the Linggo ng Kabataan 2020 was held today - 15th of August at the Ormoc City Superdome.

All the time and effort spent to make this event successful has finally paid off. We would like to express our utmost gratitude to those who visited our booth and supported us during the whole duration of the "Youth Fair". The recognition that was given to the organization will serve as a beacon that will help in pursuing all of our endeavours.

Together, let us continue to mold the youth on becoming someone who can contribute to a fire safe and disaster ready nation. Our mission of committing to promote youth protection and participation in the prevention of man-made, natural disasters, and other emergencies; are in near realization thanks to the relentless support that everyone has shown us.
